What ZF box do we have?

Does anyone know which variant of the ZF box is in the M3c? I am hoping it is the 8hp75 rated to at least 750nm but there are higher and lower variants.

It's listed as an 8hp76. Nothing I could find denotes what the torque rating is for it though. I would assume 760nm if it follows the same principles as the preceeding trannys.

Racechip in map7 hits the tq limiter. Confirmed it twice in my g82 and RaceChip says run in map6, some engines are producing more power from factory so the chip exceeds the tq limit.

They are saying there is up to 8% variance in factory power and as the engine breaks in it produces more power. (Makes sense as contact surfaces polish with wear)

U can hit the tq limiter with stock boost. Its around 620 ft lb below 4k rpm and it tapers from there (for the comp, around 550 for the manual). Once u touch the limiter u get throttle closures

Interesting, so it sounds like the only thing to really fix that is a true flash tune and flashing the trans as well (had to do something similar in my RS7).

I know there are some M5 guys putting serious power through these.

yeah, and how long to they last? they are good for a few pulls then back into the garage to fix shit.

Had a guy down here running over 750hp, car pulled like a train, but it was always down.

You have a point but in my experience I see more S63 guys down due to connecting rods not wanting to be roommates with the crank and pistons anymore..🤣

It's extremely rare to see these platforms with transmission even when turned up.

My thoughts exactly. I know in my auto c7z a trans tune completely changed the car.
