Upsizing 826M tires

Curious if anybody has tried 285/35 19 for front and 305/30 20 for rear. Will never do spacers or lower car. Considering the Michelin Pilot Sport all season 4 for our kind of mild winters instead of switching back and forth to dedicated winter tires and was thinking of upsizing.

826M wheels are 9.5" front and 10.5" rear which are within the specs (the lowest one) of the above tires. Wasn't sure if they would be any other issues such as rubbing since tire height will be increased about 0.3" front and 0.45" rear and width about 0.4" front and 0.8" rear.

BTW they also come in ZP (run flats) that the c8 has that is also appealing Seems the run flat just adds 2-3 pounds per tire for same size.

Because of the close tolerances designed by BMW and the fact that they can specify any tire that they want to, I would stick with the OE sizes that the rim is designed for.

It would be a shame to spend $1600 on a set of tires only to find that they almost fit.

I up sized on my wife's X3MC with no issues and as a bonus offers a little more rim protection. Sticking with the OE size on my M3.

Stav, what did you go with?

Has anyone else tried to go with 285 out front and 305s out back?

Went with 285/35-19 front and kept rear at 285/30-20. When I was considering the 305 I didn't have the car yet. When I got it, for me at least, the rears look wide enough but the fronts needed some help, and I think the 285 will have the effect of a 5mm spacer plus diameter will be a bit bigger to fill the space better.

BTW I got the Michelin PS AS 4 ZP, these are run flats! The c8 corvette is using them so I wanted to give them a shot and not care about flats the winter months.

Note, haven't installed them yet but will probably happen this weekend with a mobile installer at home.

Awesome! Would love to hear how the fronts fit when you are done. I was on track last weekend and am wanting a bit more grip, mostly in the rear but would like to run 285s up front as well if no real running issues.
