Resonator Delete

What size pipe should I use to do a resonator delete? I've heard there's secondary cats as well but I'm thinking abt just removing the resonators. Lmk!

Your muffler shop should be able to match up the diameter rather easily without much added thought. I believe it’s 2.75-3” but it’s been a non topic as the shop should have competence to match. Just let them know your intent of either single or dual res removal, and if you plan to introduce an X or H cross over the cells to even out some of the rasp — you’re going to love it.

Have you done it? How much would it be to do an x pipe or h pipe?

Yessir- I’ve ran a dual resonator delete with resonator #2 furthest back being replaced by a pre fab'd x pipe the shop had on site. I ran it this way for roughly a month and went back and replaced my secondary cats with straight pipe. The car is still very modest. All in all this cost me right at $500 for both trips. Be he said if I would of done all at once closer to $350-400.

My .02 cents, it sounds great. If you hate it, go buy a mid pipe then. You’ll be out less than $500 I. A worst case scenario. Not to mention we are just a couple months out when mid pipe sections will be a dime a dozen on the for sale by owner board if you want to go back stock.

If you havent already- Check out trentmeisters thread ”mid pipe…” a bunch of folks have chimed in on this topic as well.

I referenced as well- hope he found it! I remember back in April/May when we were all settling into our cars and hacking up the exhausts. Still happy with mine months later.

Stock piping is 3" so I would keep that although 2.75" wouldn't make a difference either.
I paid $400 to delete the resonators and replace with X-Pipe. Made a very significant difference in sound volume and I would recommend it to anyone.
