Are you guys in sports mode and M when rolling?
Or stay on Drive and just punch out? I'm wanting to know which is faster ? Letting the car shift by it self or controlling the shift on a roll?

Sport plus. Manual mode. 3rd gear 45 or 50. Punch it. Then shift to auto mode (click to the right) and let it do the work. 9/10 times this is the fastest
The only thing that is slightly faster is the launch mode auto shifting program

Leav it in auto and downshift to 3rd and just punch it. It'll shift.

How would I downshift if it's in Drive?

You can still use the paddles when in auto. So you can downshift to the sweet spot then let the auto rip.

Doesn't it change the gears automatically anyway if you engage the kickdown button even in manual?

No manual mode locks in gear you just ride rev limiter. As it should be

Yeah but if youre going too slow (like 45-50) and you pass kickdown, it will downshift to 2nd unless youre in manual mode. Thats slower. I checked.

Really? I've done multiple 50 and 60 rolls with great success just leaving it in drive and down shifting

If your rpm's are high enough in your downshifted gear then the kick down won't drop it further. Unless you are lugging it in auto.

Click to the right from the paddles or the gear shift knob?As if you hold the right shift paddle goes to auto as well(?).

Shift knob to the right engages auto mode if u are in manual
