1,200 mile break-in cost & beyond
Tomorrow morning I'm bringing my car I'm for it's 1,200 mile break-in service. What can I expect to pay?
Also, this is my 3rd BMW but the first time I did not get the maintenance agreement. What can I expect to pay for an oil change on my M4? |

Do you really receive 3 years of maintenance included when you purchase the car?
In Germany you have to pay for every minute spent The break-in service will be around 500 Euros - lucky, you will not have to pay for it. |

Hey Guys,
I have not gotten my car yet, but got a hold of an Owner's Manual, I believe it is the Australian one(attached). After 1,200 miles it specifies the break in continues until 3,100 miles. Is this in the US Owners Manual? I usually keep my cars for 8-9 years and if this is the case I would like to follow the procedure. What are your thoughts? |

The same applies for the German manual and I will definitely follow the instructions as I will keep the car for a longer period and the given power during break-in (or extended break in) is fine for me. Even within the first 2000 KM I do not see an issue but more of a dating period in which you learn to love your car and do not overplay the game
