Best Xpel installer in Houston

I’m planning on getting my car wrapped in PPF and wanted to see which installer everyone recommends in Houston? Thanks in advance!

Late to the thread, but for anyone still looking I can highly recommend ixexotics off 99/529 in Cypress. Great group of guys there that do a solid job when it comes to PPF/tint/details.

I plan on using American Detail when I take delivery. While I have never done PPF (been driving a Honda Accord since 2007) and don't have any first hand experience with these guys, they seem to have awesome reviews. I've also called around to places all over the Houston area, and AD quoted me some of the best rates for PPF, ceramic coating and window tinting.

Best of luck and let us know how the service go if you choose other place (and send photos!)

I personally would never take my car to them. Took my brand new car to them to get windows tinted. When I came back home to inspect the work, I noticed there was a deep cut on the weather stripping. Called over the phone and notified them about the issue and they said it's a common mistake and they will get it repaired. Finally brought my car back to them and the owner comes out hiding behind this macho looking Hispanic dude, the Hispanic dude claims he's the "owner" (which I know was BS, he was using him to intimidate me) and denies it was their fault. It was just a back and forth argument which lead to no where. I would stay away from that place.

Has anyone used XPEL Houston? I've gotten an initial quote from them, but curious if anyone has used them.

Does anyone know good installers for PPF and ceramic on the west side? I leave in Fulshear (west of Katy), and would prefer staying in the area, but will drive as far as I have to for good quality at a decent price.

Thank you! Very much appreciated! Also had the same recommendation from another user on a different thread. Seems everyone vouches for Gulf Coast, and they’re also on my side of town. Greatly appreciated!

Sorry for the necropost. I’m looking for a XPEL (or SunTek) installer in Houston.

I read some of the posts in this thread and reached out to Gulf Coast Auto Shield in addition to Autofilm Specialists in North Houston.

Any other recommendations?

Any places to avoid?

E1 AutoSpa. I know the owner and they've done the last 4 cars I've had. They do mostly high end cars and do a great job.

XPel Houston on the North side. Also, second (third, fourth, whatever) Gulf Coast Auto Shield.

I called all of these installers. Lots of great choices, so I appreciate you all helping me narrow the search.

Ultimately, I think I’m going with Auto Film Specialists which is owned by Mike Norgn, who is apparently known nationally for his PPF talents, training a lot of the bigger facilities in Houston. Apparently, he’s a big deal from everything I read.

The reviews from customers are stellar. The price is competitive. They were extremely quick to get back with me, answer questions, and even offered to send me a complimentary roll of Tracwrap to protect the car on the way to their facility.

Unless you all know something I don’t, I think this team won my business. Gulf Coast Auto Shield and Houston Paint Protection were my runner-ups.

He's very popular with the Tesla crowd. They seem to like him but no direct experience. But people spoke highly of him when I owned a Tesla.

That’s good to know. Really appreciate this. Puts my mind at ease more, especially when dropping this kind of money.

Well, I can't vouch for how well the Tesla crowd knows PPF or wrap quality. So please don't take my thoughts for any kind of recommendation. I really don't know either way about AFS. The ones I mentioned above I have direct experience with (more than once) and I am happy with.

I hear you. That’s a good point.

I’ll take the plunge with them regardless and post a review when I get it back. This won’t be for a while. September likely.

I wouldn't recommend Gulf Coast, it's all about Over promise under deliver. Kept my car for almost two weeks for just partial PPF. At the time of drop off I was told it would be complete in 3 days. I had a really bad experience, another friend of mine had very similar experience.

I appreciate the info and I’ll keep that in mind. I’m thankful for threads like this.

I’m not familiar with any of these facilities, so any feedback helps (positive or negative.)
