826M Square Set Up
While working out offsets for our new wheels we thought it would be cool to see how a square set up would look like on the car.
It looks good! Only driven the car around the workshop so can't give any feedback on whether this would work in the long run but there seemed to be enough clearance. This first picture is lowered in the edit to see what that would also look like. 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr 826M Square Rear Setup by Evolve Automotive, on Flickr Last edited by Imran@Evolve; 03-16-2021 at 11:04 AM.. |

That first shot is money... IIRC, the offsets of the front and rear wheels are the same, is that correct? ET 20 or 25 I think?

By the looks of this it appears that there is plenty of room with that 10.5 in the front, confirming my suspicion all along... possibility of running 11"square.

What's the square setup entail? Simply spacers add front and rear? If so, which ones were added? 15mm/12mm front/rear?
And please let us know if there's any rubbing with extra passengers, big dips or bumps on the road, or turning from lock to lock... |

The car looks perfect with 20s on the front, I get the performance benefit of the 19s up front but it really should be an option for customers who are willing to sacrifice a small amount of track performance

I assume they are just one one side of the car IE he moved the rear right wheel to the front left, making the left side have both 20" wheels

20's all round looks so much better.
Staggered diameter setup looks ok on a sports car like a Porsche etc but not on a sedan. Yes I know there was reasons for it, turn in, understeer, blah blah blah but it still looks wrong imo.

With 20" in the front how much performance you think would be sacrificed compared to a staggered setup say with just street use non track? Would a normal driver even notice the difference?
Since i feel BMW nailed the front end traction with this car dont really want to mess with that

I think you'll notice that more than any actual handling difference tbh.

Square set would be ideal for AWD set ups too. A clean tire rotation would maximize tire life as well.

Yeah, I wanna know too. Id love to know if it works on lowered cars and if so does it rub the front fender fins?
