It's gonna drive like one too, so that's probably intentional.

The next M4 just looks too big and won't be as fun as an M2. I wish the M4 would go away and they built an M2 with the 600 horsepower plus engine from the M5/M8. I know I would be interested.

The M3 is at least more practical with the four doors.

For those of us who want a bigger coupe and who don't want 4 doors, the ///M4 is perfect. The ///M2 is a bit too small for my tastes.

I agree but for me it’s more a design than space issue, the current M4 has a more classic elongated, elegant and low slung coupe lines while the M2 has a more space efficient, up-right compact and butch look.

It can seem irrelevant for a drivers car but coupe buyers obviously go for the M4 coupe of aesthetic reasons over the M3 so I understand why the M2 is not really a viable option.

Personally I think the new M4 will look money and can’t wait to see it. I’m looking forward to a bolder edgier front end than the 8 series since to me it is what let that car down and the same for the i8. Both of those cars front ends looks soft, generic and forgettable and awake no desire to own for me.

These cars are also getting a bit big, they say it’s necessary to fit tech. and safety features but when I look at the IMO best package modern car with super tidy proportions it is also one of the most technological. Next time you visit a car show take a close look at the Honda NSX and then walk over and look at the BMWs....the Honda is incredibly well packaged so tidy with perfect dimensions so it is still possible to do

I agree. The huge bland cars we've been offered recently are the end-result of making a range of cars from 'lego-bricks' where it's more important to share a bunch of generic parts than to produce individual well-engineered cars. This is always going to produce sub-optimal results. At least with an M-car they tend to replace most of the bodywork, and some of the functional parts.

Well I will disagree with you there. I went from an E90 to an M5 and trust me aside from the power, the E90 was better at everything. M5 was good at going fast straight and maybe destroying a few modified S3's LOL... Then the F80 M3 Comp which was what I wished the E90 was. So to say regular BMW are not as good as, is wrong, get a I6 and that is a real BMW. Anything less in Cyl is just not.

The only use that Pirellis have over Michelins, their font for the tire sizes is much larger than Michelins so you can see the size of the tyres easier in spy pics.

Is 6/20 really the last production date for the current generation M4? It would be nice to see the next version without camo. And then decide to pull the trigger or not on the current M4. You know, the grill debate and all that.

You can lease the current M4 at a really great price.

And if you like the new car, get it after the Life Cycle Impulse (LCI) comes out.

Not to mention these look like the carbon ceramics, unless poor-man CC's are standard.
