What do you think of the color choices?

• Alpine White
• Sao Paolo Yellow (new)
• Black Sapphire Metallic
• Brooklyn Grey Metallic (new)
• Isle of Man Green Metallic (new)
• Oxide Grey Metallic (new, non-Competition only)
• Portimao Blue Metallic
• Toronto Red Metallic
• Tanzanite Blue II Metallic
• Individual Dravit Grey Metallic
• Individual Frozen Brilliant White Metallic (new)
• Individual Frozen Portimao Blue Metallic (new)

I have a YMB M4 now, love the color all the way through the 4 years I've had it and still get a ton of compliments on on the unique cool color. None of the new blues seem as interesting.

Portimao and Tanzanite seem kind of similar medium and dark blues.

White is white. Not bad, but not exciting.

Black is a mess to keep both clean and swirl free and sometimes can hide some of the curves of a car, although potentially not a bad thing with this one.

I saw the San Paulo at track days. I'd like to see it in the sunlight, but I'm not sure if I want a color that over the top. YMB is kind of understated over the top.

The IOMG doesn't really excite me at all. A little too emerald green for me and I'm really not a green kind of guy anyway.

Brooklyn Grey Metallic looks nice, but not super exciting. Kind of similar to the Dravit. Brooklyn and Dravit seem somewhat similar just like the 2 blues.

Toronto Red Metallic looks like a nice red. I'd like to see it in person to see how red/orange it is.

I don't care for the frozen colors in general. They had a frozen black car at M track days and it looked like a bad spray paint job that someone would do.

I saw a laguna seca blue M8 at M days and it was one of the prettiest colors I've ever seen on a car. Almost makes me want to spend money on an individual color of it, although the car is going to get expensive enough as it is starting around 72k for the auto competition version.

Are the grey pictures you posted above both Brooklyn? Or top is Brooklyn & bottom is Dravit?

I like that they went with some bold choices along with the classic ones. I wanted a nice green for my next car and I was excited for IoM, but now seeing the official pictures I'm really liking the non metallic SPY. I like the frozen colors but I'm afraid it'll be too high maintenance.

I'm not a green guy at all.. but I really like IOM over maybe a cognac interior on gold wheels. Would be my color spec.

I never thought I would even consider a green car but I like IOM green. I'm thinking IOM M4 with Kyalami Ornage interior, CF trim, red calipers.

G83 Tanzanite Blue II. Have it on my current F83, it's a stunning color. Too bad I turn in latter at the end of week. Replacement F83 was ordered incorrectly, so I'll just wait until July '21 SOP.

I am generally happy with the color options, I plan to get Toronto red so my number one choice is covered.

RE the blues: I would have liked a deeper blue than portimao (but much lighter than tanzanite) to contrast with. I do understand bmws thinking, I think the mid/light blues are very personal and it makes sense for bmw to just offer the their regular 3 series blue as a std color knowing that those who really care will go individual

Leaning towards Tanzanite at the moment.

Tanzanite was my preferred color a couple of months ago because I really want a blue car and Portimao is too M340i'ish to me. But I think it's too dark and I don't like black cars so I may regret it.

Now I'm considering Brooklyn Grey but I've never seen it. I think it'll look great with all the black accents & CF roof on the G80.

Tanzanite sparkles ✨ in the direct sun. Has a purplish hue. Needs be keep clean to see that shine, otherwise it's similar to Carbon Black. I have had both colors. Attached is a photo upon my PCD ED redelivery. The paint composition changed, thus the reason for Tanzanite Blue II.

What interior color? I'm pairing again with full silverstone. Never gets old!

I've seen Tanzanite Blue look beautiful in the sun and I'm still considering it but would like to see it on the G80 in person.

I'll be waiting for AWD so I'll have a chance to see all colors in person when dealers start getting them early next year.

In terms of interiors I really liked the orange/black combo shown on the IOMG G80.

To the OP are you sure that is Brooklyn grey? I was under the impression that it is much lighter than that shade.

Owning a mineral gray F30 which looks good for no more than 7.25 hours after washing, nah, light colors only next time.

That São Paulo Yellow... yeesh, dunno man, it's too fluorescent-looking (cop magnet). So I guess it's either rental-fleet white or that frozen white metallic but I am definitely getting one probably 2022 if/when this COVID business goes away for my 60th. It'll be the "base" manual for sure, though.

Crazy I found my MG F80 to be insanely easy to keep clean. I just hated how the CF accents didnt show out.

Mine looks dusty to me within a day or two, even though it's garaged. It's currently filthy. I've had three white cars and they all looked reasonably clean for weeks.

I agree on the white. I've had 8-9 white cars. All pretty good for keeping clean. I had a silver Civic 20 years ago. Totally boring color to me, but it did always look clean. On the other hand, I could spend 3h cleaning it and you'd never know it. I decided though that if I was going to get an M that I'd get an M only color, hence the YMB. Sadly I don't really like the new blue offerings. Maybe I'll go red.

I didn't think it was as boring as the silver Civic I had, but now I have a YMB M4 and a red Jeep Cherokee. Now l like color.
