Spoiler is separate and depending on trim level either color matched or carbon fiber

What makes you think that is not the final bumper? Obviously this is preproduction so things can change, but the M2C shows just as much of the muffler and I believe there is an aerodynamic reason for the lips on the fender (over wheels) so I wouldn't be surprised at all if that is the final product.

I personally hope not, can't stand that corroded and tinny looking backbox hanging down so much on the M2C.

Seems to be quiet and subdued despite him driving it on the track pretty hard? You can hear the F82 M4's noise and tone over it way more. Valves are probably closed I'd assume :

At around 29 seconds, it looks like the muffler is being censored. It's too grotesque to show without some blurriness!

I'm not talking about the muffler, I assume it will be like the M2C, but rather focusing on the fenders/rear wheel arches. As you can see, its incomplete, because the final bumper isn't on the rear of the car, otherwise the tires would be covered better and the design would flow better

No it is due to Otto particulates filter and new noise regulation in Europa. Same « problem » with M2C. Sound is very muted...

I personally love it. I can understand hating it though. I think it's either/or

Look closer: the referenced video features three different G80 M3 test mules.

The muffler from the one with license plate ending with figure 9 is different compared to the ones with license plates ending with figures 6 and 8.

It doesn't appear to be as bulbous as the other two, or the M2C's for that matter.

The M3 will use the new design format to be introduced with the next generation 4er.
Hey Scott, can you possibly elaborate.

I totally see what you are saying about the fenders/wheel arches, but when I first saw the gap I thought they were trying to achieve the same aero you see on GTLM race cars for example (race technology being passed down). If you notice there is also a gap in the front. Look up the Jaguar Project 8 for an example on a street car with the gaps in front and back (https://www.jaguarusa.com/about-jagu...project-8.html).

That said on second look this is not as aggressive as the Project 8 so probably just a preproduction thing that will be filled in. Also would likely be a bit aggressive for a base level M3/M4 and likely only an something you would see on a CSL or GT4 version of the car.

Yikes. Glad the UK is leaving the EU after everything I've seen recently! Save the loud exhausts!!!
