Besides that where the hell would you put the huge US plates?

The last picture with chrome makes you really stare at it. Lol
Agree with US plates, there is absolutely no room for it. Literally they are huge and would completely mess the look.
Wondering what size the grill is?
No way I'd ever rock a front plate regardless.
I paid a ticked twice already, still didn't add because it makes the car ugly as hell.
Can imagine on this car.

US License plate 12" wide and 6 3/8 tall

European License plate 4.4" tall 20.5" wide.

Here is the Calculation in area: US 76.8 vs 90.2 =20% favorite for US as far as blocking the air for cooling but looks ugly as hell

EDIT: Correction European players are sitting in area where no Air is needed for cooling at all.

So European License plate is in big advantage as far as look and functionality goes!!!

The front kidney grill looks heavily inspired by Audi.

When do we get to actually see what it looks like? In a couple of days at Frankfurt? Are they going to show the M3 and M4 or just the M3?

I ordered a new 2020 F36 440i xdrive m-sport. Wanted the last year hardtop. Love it to death. Not a fan of the soft tops, but I am curious to see the next generation of 4 series.

Welp, guess I'm holding onto the F80 then if this is what the grill is going to look like. Damn.

I'd actually be pretty okay with it if it didn't have the hood gutter in the middle!

All of these renderins show the hood front edge line before the grill... I thought we were all fairly certain this design would merge the hood line with the grill so as to eliminate that line

If that grill makes it into reality I will kiss good bye BMW and vote with my wallet by buying a different brand. I can not support such horrendous design, nor take more jokes from everyone around.

Has BMW EVER done horizontal slats in the kidney grills? Why would the artist render this with Audi-style grill slats?
