For track use, they're a no brainer, but for daily, I have regrets.
You would be brave to choose the standard seats over these though. In the UK, the C63 S only comes with the performance seats, so you would have to revert to the non-S version.

Personally I love them and feel very lucky to have an M3 Comp and C63S in the fleet, which makes for some interesting comparisons and not just on seats.🤣🤣

You definitely deserve props for just getting them both! Curious which of them rides stiffer, as the C63S with the performance seats is certainly not plush!

The M3 In sport + has the stiffer ride in my opinion. With both in comfort, I would say they are about the same. The M3 might be a little more comfortable.

From reading scott26 comments the g82/4series coupe is going to be a more dramatic look in terms of having a more aggressive sports coupe profile like the 8 series .

My guess is they are working to keep that look under wraps for now... all the 4 series testing have been convertibles

I think the seats look less narrow than the AMG option seats. I went through the Recaro OEM section on their website and found them to look closer to some of the Audi special edition or option seats.

The G80 M3 seats look like the ones in the new Supra. I would not be suprised.

Love all the excitement about seats, but they do make a huge difference to an interior and the feel of a car.

I think people are getting too caught up in the seemingly "chrome" looking harness holes. Look at how much wider the flares are around the shoulders than these or the amg seats.

I see it. They resemble more like the AMG C63 Sport seats.

Significant changes to G8x forecasting:

I am withdrawing most of my forecasting on G8x M3/M4. It appears the lineup has been significantly reshuffled, with at least one version cancelled for production. Furthermore, I can't figure out the new situation well enough to describe it in detail. Therefore, I can no longer guarantee neither RWD nor manual models. All I know is that there will be M3/M4 and M3/M4 Competition, and that there will be more separation between regular and Competition models than before. Everything else is a mystery to me now. BMW, you win a point here.

I don't think so. They will be better than the current seats, not worse.

Because the unfortunate reality is that 99% of bmw drivers have no interest in that at all. The brand has become more appealing to people who want the badge as a status symbol, not to actually utilize what the cars capable of - case in point when they released the reasoning behind why they lightened the feel of the steering years ago because "too many younger women complained it was too heavy" ...

I would hope that prospective M car owners would be a bit more discerning and would think that at least 80% would know a decent seat when they see one. If you are taking about MSport owners, then yes, a good number are likely a bit more into cosmetic, rather than dynamic enhancements. Here in the UK, you can delete the MSport passive suspension in favour of the SE/Modern standard suspension.

Of interest also, is that police BMWs are SE/Modern spec, but with MSport suspension, which is something the general public can't specify.

These are the seats in the X2 M35i.

I think the ones in the M3 will be fine.

Well If you drive G20 msport, you would see they don’t care about anyone who complains about heavy steering or stiff suspension. BMW is more of an enthusiast brand that it’s ever been.

Oh good, well now my DD is an f80 now so haven't had the chance to test a g20 yet but heard conflicting reviews so seems it's individual dependent I guess. Either way we can all agree nuthin is like the e90 gen steering which was epic

But as someone whose had a 3 series of every single generation since the e30 I couldn't disagree w ur last sentence more ...

I would agree. I had Bmw's from e36 to f80 including the e90 318 and then 325.

The enthusiast badge i would say is e90 318 msport. All show no go. I have no idea what possessed me to get that pos.

The rest of BMW I owned were amazing and are amazing. F80 comp by far the best.
