BMW G80 M3 (Manual) in Dravit Grey and Fjord Blue Interior

So I ordered my car (2022 G80) around July and was excited about the combo I chose (Dravit Grey with Fjord Blue interior). Then I started noticing in pictures that the DG exterior had gold flakes and started seeing that nobody in their right minds would choose my combo because it was too risky.

I thought about changing it, and when I asked if I could at that point, I was told it was too late to do so. So I thought "well, I guess it's decided now!" I was a bit worried but I was not worried enough to cancel my order. And, personally, I'm glad I didn't!

I know some of you would still not like it, but I want to share it and let you know I am not regretting it at all. I would do it again if I went back in time.

Here are some pics in different settings. I'll start with some with no sunshine, then I'll do two other separate posts on this thread with sunset time and bright sunshine.

I think your car is definitely different, but it works, and as long as you like it, that’s all that matters.

A loooong time ago, when I was in the business, we got in an E46 M3 in Phoenix yellow, with a Kiwi green interior. I thought it would never sell because it did not work, at all. Sales manager always said “there’s an ass for every seat”. He was right, someone bought it and loved it.

This combo is great. I am glad you didn’t change it. I have a similar spec just FDG with fjord. Congrats.

I promise I knew that the G80 is the M3! Lol thanks so much for pointing it out. I copied part of a different title I wanted to similarly put together, changed the colors and totally forgot to change that 🤦🏻*♂️

Yea, there are so many combos I say "what were they thinking" but, I agree, that's why we all have options.

My wife and whole family were like "wow" because in person it's just so different. And trust me, they will tell me the truth 😆 but like you said, the owner loving it is what's important. And I'm so relieved that I do.

Thank you. Your combo is stunning, and actually the PERFECT combo, in my opinion. I was worried about the extra waiting time and the South Florida weather giving me a hard time to maintain the FDG. Glad you had the guts to do it and I hope it's paying off for you. Congrats to you as well!

It actually looks a lot better than the configurator online makes it seem. I do wish that full leather kept the lower dash black, though. Dravit is fantastic.

I think it looks great, and I also own Dravit, so, Im definitely aware of the color possibilities when the car is in different lighting situations.
