G80 owner tries i4 (pro pics)

Everyone is comparing the i4 with the M3 because of the i4's 0-60 time and horsepower number.

That's pretty misleading, and after spending some time with the i4 at UDE and in NYC, I left unimpressed with its handling.

Maybe for a daily, but 5,000 lbs is just a heavy car no matter what.

Yeah, don't know why everyone is surprised when they figure out that the i4 M50 falls short against a full fat M car. It never was intended to go toe to toe with a real M car. My G83 will get to my dealer any day now and my wife has an i4 M50 on order (should be here later this summer) so I certainly get the merits of both.

There is supposedly a full M electric car coming. I'm curious to see how that is.

The i4 over a 440 is a no-brainer, but the M3 is 1,200 lbs lighter. Different animal.

For my daily needs, if the i4 looked like an M3/4, I'd have one if nothing else changed about it.

Yeah, at UDE my overall impression of the i4 M50 was: Very fast, and handles very well...for a 2.5 ton car.
