How does the JB4 behave across the various OEM tune levels? For example, will a non-comp (18.4psi), a comp (24.7psi), and a CSL (30.5psi) all produce the same power on the same map (ie #2)? Is it possible the JB4 would add no power to the CSL on pump gas?

Additive maps are added to the factory target, while absolute target maps ignore the factory target.

I've not seen any factory maps that run more than around 24psi. Comps seem to peak at around 22psi.

You have to question with the CSL whether a piggy back will make any more power on pump gas. The additive maps can request more peak boost over stock, but if stock peak is already 30.5 I can't imagine there's any more juice to squeeze.

They don't run 30psi stock. If you have a JB4 you can log a map0 run to see what the factory boost curve looks like.

Like I mentioned above I don't think I have seen anything above 24 range..

Ok, when I get the car I'll chart the stock boost. For now, I'm just going off of BMW's technical documentation for the CSL:

The turbocharger's power output is further enhanced by the use of an indirect intercooler supplied by a low* temperature circuit and specially designed compressors. Boost pressure has been increased from 24.7 psi in the M4 Competition to 30.5 psi in the CSL. Engine management has been modified accordingly to guarantee the constant power delivery up to the top end of the rev range that has come to be expected of BMW M.
