Is it LCI G80 M3/ G82 M4’s steering wheel?

I found that image in the ebay
And seller said it is LCI M4 CS steering wheel.

Flat bottomed steering wheel would be amazing purely from an aesthetics pov, but I highly doubt this is legit.

A lot of people incorrectly call the models with the iDrive 8 curved display screens "LCI" cars when they really aren't. Likely the case here.

Hope not. Flat bottom is silly.

No. This tool tried to sell it on the fb groups as an oem "prototype" and got laughed at.

Not crazy about the flat bottom but I do like that it’s covered in Alcantara. I know it’s more work to keep Alacantra clean but it just looks and feels more premium to me.

I highly doubt this wheel is from a 25 LCI but we will know in a few months.

OK, that's fair. I'm highly dubious that BMW has aped the aftermarket all black roundel, but we shall see

you are right. That black roundel would never come like this from BMW.

This steering wheel looks better than the current G8x wheels IMO.
I wonder if it's possible to retrofit that one.

Highly doubt it since all the controls are different, meaning the clockspring wiring is likely different. The problem is that wheel isn't currently used in any G20 or G80 cars.

Short answer: wiring is complicated and these things rarely work like you think you would hope.

I5 M60 also uses a variation of this wheel.

Wouldn’t be surprised if an updated steering wheel came.

Happened with the LCI of my M135i hatch back in 2013.

Not sure they are legit, but there are more and more pics of the LCI floating around. Surprisingly, the attached ones also show a flat steering wheel and CSL type lights on back.

The black badge is obviously not real, but yeah.

Edit: and the one OP posted doesn’t have the M stitching.

It could have been a prototype steering wheel that he someone got his hands on. Would have been in a test prototype car so you have the full feel and functions but not all the visual prettiness, since that’s not needed during development.
