Build Week 18 - MY25 M4
Haven't seen anyone talking about week 18 production. Our production date was listed as 5/2 and officially moved to "Dispatched From Factory" this morning. Updated to in paint booth as of Monday and assembly line on Tuesday. Both of our X3M comps moved really quick through production also. Now to wait for ship. Haven't looked at which ship or port yet but I would assume arrival into Brunswick for Florida delivery.

I’m week 18 too. I haven’t seen anyone else post it and I was going to but you beat me to it. I’m dispatched from the factory too. I will be headed to Brunswick going to Florida so I’m sure we will be on the same boat. Where in Florida is yours headed?

Finally moved to "At the port" today. Looks like they are loading some week 14 and maybe week 15 cars the last few days. Probably a couple of weeks for the week 18 cars to get loaded. Cross our fingers.

I'm still showing at the port so far today. Glad to hear you made a ship. Still seeing week 14-17 people not on ships yet so we'll see what happens the next few days.

2 weeks at the port in Germany now, which is still under what most of the week 14-16 people saw. Hopefully they have caught up on week 16 and 17 shipments and I can see some movement this week.

Not sure what the rhyme or reason is to port and ship assignments. Do they use the port facility in Germany for planning the truck loads instead of at the arrival port. Maybe they put together a full truck load for a given dealer and then load onto a ship... some dealers are probably heavy suv orders produced here in the US and maybe don't accumulate quantities in germany as quickly as other dealers. Along those lines, maybe they don't put together a full truckload but have other ordered vehicles from that dealer in a "grouping" for shipping and if one of those vehicles gets delayed, ie. QC,etc.., does the group of vehicles wait at the german port? Both of our previous ordered bmws were x3mc's so never dealt with german shipping. Hopefully we all get on ships soon.

If it’s a sold/custom order for a client, it gets expedited at the port (which should be most G8x). Believe the problem may arise with the CA/dealership not correctly indicating the priority of vehicle at times. More rare instances seem to be the accidents or body damages that occur during transit to the port which prior users have reported and that delays by another month or so. |
