I must have had too much torque on one of the screws holding the rear license plate on. (Expand the photo to see what I mean.) It stripped the plastic and popped out. I hope I didn't run over it.
Now I need to buy the holder and screws. Has this happened to anyone? Anyone happen to have the part numbers handy?

There is a thread discussing this issue, and a number of solutions are provided.
For some reason BMW shipped these cars with plastic license plate brackets, so the screws easily mess up the plastic. In the past - and in any other cars, they are machine screws with metal inserts. Anyway, I hope this helps you. https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1863027 |
