Yep, M4's are stuck. I'm a week 44 and in QC since 11/9.

08/28 - Ordered.
09/10 - Allocated.
10/21 - Production begins. (VIN assigned)
11/4 - Exterior Body Assembly Begins
11/5 - In the paint booth
11/8 A.M. Entering assy.line.
11/8 P.M. Assembly in Progress
11/9 - Quality check
???? - Final Assembly.

Hopefully we see some movement this week. Not like there's anything we can do about it.

Just keep waiting.

For perspective, my build was in QC since last Wednesday and shifted to "dispatched" today. Confirmed with BMW Genius that my build (almost all options) does not reflect any stop sales or supply shortages modifications.

FWIW, my M4 has been in QC for 11 days, and it was only today that two recalls showed up in the recall tool. RAM and one more. Not saying you're in the clear, but it may take some time to show up.

It may be they just shipped the M3's and VPC gets to retrofit the RAM and amplifier...maybe Dingolfing has more room to sit on the cars then retrofit. It will be interesting to see if they are retrofitting the same components on M3s at VPC as they are in Dingolfing. Wonder which is quicker...?

Mine was dispatched from the factory last Thursday. I emailed the Genius folk to see what they could tell me about the transport.

Mine was must updated to dispatch to carrier today after being in QC for 3 days.

From reading other posts, it does seem like there are delays with the G82 more so than the G80. Not sure why or what's causing it though.

My G80 has been in QC for a week at this point. I used the stop-sale identifier tool and nothing came up. I'm wondering if I either have a stop sale or the tracker just isn't updating in a timely
manner.

Same for me on both points. Went into QC last Friday. So far as of this afternoon, it is still showing in QC status and no stop sales.

I've given up hope of getting the car before mid-January but I sure as hell would like to receive it before BMW starts to sell the next year model...

My m3 build has also been in QC since since last Friday. How do I check stop sales? I entered the vin in the recall/safety page in my BMW and it says invalid VIN.

Might not be an m3 vs. m4 issue. My m3 has been QC for 9 days now. Though, I'm not seeing any stop sales, at least not yet.

Still in QC as of this morning. I called Genius and after a lengthy 40 minute wait for an agent I was told there are no additional updates 😟

Coming from another thread. going to genius usually doesn’t help. I have been in QC since 11/3 so prepare for a long wait. Not sure whats happening at the factory to cause such a weird difference in QC times. Some people in and out and some not. Genius told me this morning to really grill my SA about the car’s status but when i did that he told me he has no information. The divide between the two is astonishing for such a big company.

Lucky.. mine still shows at the port

EDIT My CA says its waiting to be handed over to customs and then it will be assigned a ship etc.
