If you don't mind, could you elaborate on what this trick is?
Does it mean one could select 2 different colors?

You use the Bimmercode app and an OBD connector. The "easy" mode of the app lets you replace the colors in the "why is this here" Bronze color choice with a bundle of other color choices. The "expert" mode apparently lets you substitute hex code color choices, but I haven't gone there yet. There are already choices in the car for two colors "Orange and White, etc..." and it's basically the main LED strips for the primary color and then the floor lights for the second color.

I had some time on my hands in between work today, so decided to put a few miles on my car as it brings the RIS that little bit closer!

I did ca. 120 mile round trip just to take in a 14 mile stretch of well known twisties, which starts in Cheddar, Somerset (England).

I was lucky enough to get a pretty clean run, although the opportunity to overtake a couple of slow cars did present itself

BMW has an OEM Aramid weave shark fin. Although I'm not 100% if it's a shark fin cover or an actual shark fin. Problem with carbon fiber shark fin is that it will affect XM signal whereas Aramid will not. I'm still waiting to see what the actual part looks like as we can't get it in US yet.
So the Aramid cover doesn't affect your signal?
Still need to get more research but yes. That's primarily why it's not carbon. Another user said he got the carbon one and it affects his XM signal which validates this argument

Ah, okay. Thanks for the explanation.
I don't recall seeing the 'dual' setup in the BC menus, but I wasn't looking hard for it because I thought it was primarily for letting you choose red for normal lighting which is reserved for door ajar.

Still waiting to see if the G chassis allows RR chimes. I loved it on my F87.

A front-end lift system so that I could drop my car a bit and still get up my driveway?

Didn't mean that to sound as a negative comment, but it's just a tad low for my taste.
If I could raise both ends about 1/4 - 1/2", it'd be perfect for me.

Didn't take it that way. I was wondering because I'm considering this AST or KW HAS and I can't imagine myself going any lower then this so I'm wondering why I'd get the HAS.

I expected you to say drop the rear .25"

I respect your opinion.. thanks.

The rod bearing...maybe they're thinking of the bearing recall? But the VANOS thing is a hysterical question. Maybe not mentioned, owner swapped in an unmaintained S54, so it totally needs that rebuild.

For my part today I...pined for my M - I'm in Florida for the month (didn't drive it down, now regretting) and my baby is stuck in the cold cold garage back in Chicago.
