This is bound to happen. I don’t see wrinkling I see a very slight leather stretch. It’s tight leather on the bottom of a seat, it has to give some over time.

I wouldn’t be too concerned.

But there's no time, this is a brand new vehicle on the dealer lot with 11 km

For what it’s worth, I don’t have this issue on my carbon buckets but I really don’t see anything of meaningful concern here. For me anyways.

That area looks trashed on cars with higher miles/Turo rentals usually but not on brand new cars.

I see the wrinkle you are talking about. I have a slight one on mine but also have over 7k miles. Nothing serious or really noticeable. This car though, being brand new, that is a bit weird.

Looks normal to me, I am pretty sure my pas M4 was the same. Will be able to confirm this spring when next M3 comes in.

Mine are doing the same at 10k miles. The wrinkles make me worried that over time it will tear. Mine are worse than that though but only on driver side.

Just get seat covers when they get to bad. You can get flames or different colors. It will be awesome🤣😉. Hopefully they hold up for at least 50,000 miles. Jeez!!

is it worth purchasing the interior protection that the dealer offer? my understanding is, it should cover excessive wear and tear for X period.

This has been noticed in buckets and there are threads out there. It has to do with the leather being too stretched that lifts it up (maybe exposed to the sun for too long). There is a cool trick on the internet that someone uses a steam iron to soften the leather and the humidity makes it contract again and it goes back to being tight it.
