At which part am I supposed to be impressed?

The gloves or leaving everything full auto and driving half throttle?

8 speed steptronic huh? I wonder how this trans will compare to DCT when it comes to shift speed & intensity. I've heard torque converters have come a long way and can feel like a DCT but I am doubtful.

Very interesting, I wonder howe much wider the tires are. Seems there is less carbon as well in the engine bay. Will the performance be greater than the size of the grills? I look forward to trading my m2.

Did anyone besides me notice that the Hofmeister Kink/C-Pillar area looks much different than the Base 4 series in this video? I looked back at some of the recent spy photos and looking again it seems to match what we see from the interior angle of the video.

Agree - let's focus on the little bit of new info we do get here. Silverstone interior looks great

Looking forward to the wider tires it's going to be really interesting to drive this back to back with my F80

ZF8HP will allow AWD which will enable less traction related power loss.

RWD isn't worth squat if you're spinning the tires all day.. This was a weakness of the F8X.

Maybe they shouldn't be increasing horsepower so much. I'd take less horsepower over AWD any day of the week. People are too obsessed with 0-60 numbers that there willing to dumb down a car, the new M5 is a perfect example of this.

To be honest, I drove the M5 at the track at the Performance Center and found it to be spectacular. It's heavy but it's always been a big car.

But yes, for me I think it's RWD and stick on my G80.

The new M5 can get good track times and super low 0-60 numbers, my problem is more with how soulless and numb that car has become, it feels like BMW focused too much on getting the best times out of it that it compromised the car, its too easy in a sense, there is no feel or feedback, but that is just my opinion.

that was a bland experience. I'm sure he is exceptional at his job of developing an exciting product but unfortunately not the right person for selling it.

The pennzoil commercial with the CS was WAY more exciting...and they are selling a lubricant.
