How does this compare to Snapper Rocks? Snapper Rocks a bit too bold for me, this looks a bit softer at least in the pics.
They are equally bold, but snapper rocks is more blue.

It's amazing. Half the time I think this and half the time I think I the other way (based on posts and photos). Sure would be nice for a good comparison shot one day of these 2 colors on the same car.

Buy me one in Snapper Rocks and I'll make it happen. 😜

FINALLY after a 7+ month wait…. The first car I have built to my spec has arrived!

This saga began years ago with my first ///M car a Z3MR… skip fwd to 2020 I sold my E46 M3 ZCP (an '05 with 46K miles… worth a lot more now ) and bought a 2018 Tanzanite Blue/Silverstone F80 Comp pckg 6 spd manual with 2K miles. Due to COVID (and living in a cold weather state where I store my rwd cars over winter) I hardly put on miles on that car driving ~3K miles in the span of 16 months.

During ownership I found out that the 2022 M3 was going to be available in AWD which was exciting but a couple things held me back…. 1) The front end and 2) the lack of a manual (in the awd model). I started thinking about it more and more as reviews of the G8X came out which were generally very positive…. And then I finally saw a G80 and G82 in person (getting an oil change on my F80) and was shocked to find myself thinking the car actually looked good in person.

After some more thinking, I decided to go all in on the car and decided to trade in my F80 in August. I ordered a G80 Competition xDrive in my dream color Atlantis Metallic over Tartufo. I didn't think it would take over 7 months but I can say…

IT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!! Favorite car I've owned so far (I'm 20+ deep)! The car lived up to all the hype and I'm at about 300 miles…. Absolute beast, steering is excellent and all with AWD making this a year round car for me! I don't think there is another AWD car that can package the power, fun to drive factor and practicality (2 kids < 4 yrs old) as well as this one!!

Before I picked up the car, my CA had texted me several pictures saying the color is truly special…. And to get it the hell out of there because it was distracting everyone that walked by it (prospective clients). You can see in the 4th pic someone else is taking a pic while my CA is taking one to send to me.

The color is stunning, and very hard to capture, it's a very deep teal in person, and just friggin awesome.

Hope you guys enjoy the pics… many more to come!
That will definitely draw some attention! Nicely done.

I think Silverstone is the best choice for Atlantis / Snapper. Definitely has a coastal vibe. I'm landlocked in Colorado, I should do that to feel like I am traveling more

For those that asked for interior shots, here are a couple really quick (and definitely dirty) ones

Interior shots look great, but the shoe scuffing/dirt on the black plastic is making me want to come by with some detailing spray on a cloth. Also don't forget to take the protective film off the M3 logos in the seat backs.

That’s what I meant by real dirty… and I know I was debating if anyone would notice

Happy to see this brighter blue/ tartufo combo. I nearly spec'ed tartufo on my Mexico blue G80. I changed it prior to production to black -mostly bc I wanted the buckets.
Love the color combo dude! It looks awesome.

Since you guys asked…. Also, in the first 300 miles the car has already seen snow and rain (hence dirty)…. That’s Minnesota for you.

Absolutely. I see it as mandatory with Tartufo, as it is a color that does not have black in the seats. It looks odd to me to stop at the doors.
Most all the others, you can get away with black on the dash. But it also upgrades the door tops, dash, and console sides with leather, so it is a great enhancement for all colors IMO

Yes the extended leather option would have made a big difference!

Extended is what I have! I was trying to balance the fact that I don’t keep cars long with what I absolutely wanted (individual color, exec, etc)! If I added everything else (cf bits, cf seats and full leather) it would’ve been another $10K!
