Hi fellow M-fans

Owning my M4 since march 2021 and I love it. Had a 1M Coupe and an M3 F80 before this one and they both weren't stock for a long time... SO was the M4!

- First mod I got was the OEM M-Performance wing and I absolutely love it. I think it suits the car well and isn't too much.

- I was able to use the stud conversion kit I got from IND for my F80 for the new car. So I currently have studs with neo chrome nuts.

- Then I got a 3-piece front splitter by Unit_17 from the UK. Looks OEM+, is brilliant quality and half the price of the M-Performance splitter.

- Car had to be lowered then. I went for HR springs -30/30mm. I don't want to go too low, because of road conditions over here...not wanting to buy a new splitter every week.

- Next thing to mod was the sound of the car.
I first went for an Aulitzky OPF-back road legal exhaust made of stainless steel. Nice deep sound, some (real) burbles and a nice look. Going for some different exhaust tips in the future cause I think some carbon tips will look better with the carbon exterior package.

- Last but not least I installed an air intake by ARMAspeed. Went for the full carbon system including the carbon cooler cover panel. The look is great, brilliant carbon quality and the sound is amazing. The intake sound is louder than it was on my M3 F80 with the Eventuri kit.

Hope to keep you updated with the future mods to come...many things are planned.

I hope you like the pictures, and if you'd like to see some pictures of a mod in detail, feel free to let me know, I already have tons of them!

Cheers
Stay safe out there

Phil

Looking good Also interested in sound clips

Maybe the springs haven't settled yet but that drop does not look like 30mm to me (yet). You also need to consider spacers unless you plan to get wheels with the "right" offset

Hi, thanks mate

According to HR it's 30/30,...not sure about it neither, have to agree with you.
Spacers are planned, not sure about all the stories about rubbing yet. Most lowered setups with spacers do rub and I'd like to avoid that. Maybe I'll go with a set of "right offset"-wheels in the future...but that should rub too then, right?

I have some sound clips of the intake (interior) and some of the exhaust (exterior)...I'll post them asap!

Cheers

Looks great, Phil. Do you have more closeup pictures of the front splitter? I thought it was just an OEM version, but it looks like the center piece sticks out, more, in the front, looking at that view, from above.

Yes indeed it is a little more aggressive than the M-Performance version. It sticks out a little more in the front and the "corner pieces" are a little "bigger"...hard to describe

Got to test the Unit_17 splitter and was really happy to have it. Not too big, fitting was pretty good, and pricing was way more interesting than factory OEM parts,...which imo are sometimes a little overpriced...

And when your plans are to lower the car, I prefer damaging a lower priced splitter,...even if it hurts no matter the costs, right?

Here a few up close pics of the splitter!

I like it. A little more poke was what I was looking for. I was dead set on the OEM piece, but more and more quality pieces are being released for this platform.

if you're on Michelins you can go 12mm all around without rubbing. Some even do 15mm up front without rubbing. I went with 12mm all around with no issues.

if you're on Pirellis I think you can go 10mm without rubbing. If you go 12mm you'll start rubbing up front on full lock & reverse but even that can be easily fixed.

never really liked wings on m3/4 (except e30 and e34 obv) cause it never suits them. A ducktail like in the e46 m3 CSL or what the G82 M4 CSL has been spied with would look a lot better. But beauty is to the eye of the beholder. Other then that, absolute beast you go there

Oh hey guys!

Thank you very much for the positive feedback! I have many more pictures of the car, from whatever angle you want to see it!😂😂

I also do have vids of both, the intake (not the best quality though) and of the Aulitzky exhaust!

Will leave some more pics from time to time to keep the thread going! Many more things are planned and I'll hope to keep you a little entertained

Cheers

Phil

Carbon looks so good against the SPY colour. Love the intake setup. I also prefer a duckbill style spoiler but the wing isn't obnoxious at all. Very nice.
