The M5 actually starts at $103k, so the existing M3 can already be optioned up into that range. Yeah the previous M3CS sold so well at $100k+ that BMW was giving them away.

I remember the lease for a 2019 CS 114K was cheaper by $200 per month as my 2016 F82 ZCP for 84K.

However...I do think the new generation will be more expensive tho, totally different market currently.

M cars don't have official LCIs. However they always get the upgrades given to their mainstream siblings, and since G20/G21 LCI will be in July, that's when G80 will also get the same hardware.

And just to clarify: M3 CS is a separate version, not a replacement for any existing M3s.
But has BMW doubled down on their failed exterior design approach? Yes
Did they listen to any customers? No
Did they update any concept models in-pipeline to back off their stupid design language? Nope

Doubling down when you are doing the wrong thing is not smart, and it appears BMW has done that yet again.

I'm not sad, I'm disappointed.
I love when all the G80 haters come out from hiding but really just out themselves as closet G80 fans lurking in the background. We see you!

They are failing so badly that you can't get one at MSRP and have to join months long wait lists. If that is what failure looks like, I wish I failed as well in my line of business!

The M4 GTS was sold in the US/Canadian markets with roll bars so I assume the CSL will as well…. unless the laws have changed since then?

I dunno man. This past August in Monterey BMW had the iX, M5 CS, and M4 GT3 cars on display near each other, among many others. You can probably guess which one had the most people around it. Fair enough if you don’t like them, but the new designs don’t appear to be the failure you think they are. Just took delivery of my G82 last night and I’m about ready to have sex with it. Carbon-backed, big nose sex. Just as the good lord intended.
I like the mix of designs right now. I think the 4 series design makes it pop. I think the new M3 being differentiated from its lesser siblings is great. And I like that the 5 & 7 still have a classy traditional look. I think it fits each model and gives something for everyone. But that's just one man's opinion…

Meh….cool but my money will go towards allocation 1 for a 2023 M2, manual transmission, S58 and add a simple tune…400 lbs less, similar power. Btw love my 22 g80 xDrive, it's mega….just now want a more toss-able go-cart like, point and click manual…to feel more connected. Adding to the stable, not swapping out.

What laws? You can get a GT3 without rollbars and no back seats. That was just BMW's decision to put in rollbars to avoid liability.

My dealer is still quite confident that there will be a m4 cs. He has 6 people on a list for m4 csl

Dealers are the last people to learn about new model releases.

Telling the people at my local BMW dealership about the cars they should expect 1-2 years out used to be (when I still owned BMWs) one of the best parts of this hobby.
