Hmmm. I may have to scope out the CF seats, I admittedly haven't sat in them in person. Depending on how the M4 LCI looks I may try to snag the last of the outgoing...not sure yet.

As did Chris Harris. So good was the traction and forward momentum out of corners CH thought the RWD was AWD initially, in his review. An overall positive review i thought from him last year.

Yes, I highly recommend anyone considering them to try them out. What's annoying is that I *did* try them out, briefly, at my dealership, but I only sat in them for a few minutes--no driving time. Entry/egress wasn't as big a deal as some people make it out to be, but I wasn't 100% convinced one way or another on them. I'll probably be heading back for a second opinion.

I totally agree. Its a car that HAS to be seen 'in the flesh'. Vids and photos do the G80 no favours at all.

Over time I've become convinced that there are two categories of people who don't like the M4 (beyond aesthetics):
1) those who can't afford it
2) those who have never driven one
And they are usually keyboard warriors who drive a Fiat.
My mother of 80 can afford it, but when she drives it, she will most certainly not like it more.

Really? What I got from it was pig nose grilles and it's crap compared to the m2cs and f80. Which is why he bought the m2cs. I remember him saying "it isn't for me" and shaking his head.

I'd say, yes.
I wasn't a huge fan of the M4 styling, but it's growing on me. This is also one of the few cars I'd prefer the convertible.

Huge endorsement from Clarkson.

The front, the hood, the hips the lines.
I think its the perfect weekday driver and weekend fun car.

He's probably the minority in here, since 90% of us either have a car, have one on order, or want one.

He's right, G8X is sensational. It will be considered the best or one of the best Ms in long run, once the haters subside.

Honestly the convo on styling is so dumb and played out at this point. It's such a hive mind point of view like you're "cool" and feel "superior" with your older styling. It's one thing to not like it but the lengths keyboard warriors will go to shit on the car is crazy lol.

All I know is I've got one, I love it, I get compliments every single time I drive it which doesn't matter but always appreciated. It's faster than all previous M3s, handles better, and feels as luxury as top level cars. Don't know what more you could really want.

Id recommend watching it again as I just have. Hes not keen on the looks or the lack of DCT but drops a number of superlatives about the G80 as a whole.

Overall positive piece.

I remember debating the G82 because I had grown to love the styling. I rewatched videos from Chris Harris, Savagegeese, Hagerty and TheStraightPipes etc and ignored the grill comments. Guess what... they all loved the car overall. I had let the grill noise get in the way of hearing how great the car is.

Funny how I totally missed these lines because of grill comments:

This is the best driving M3. Maybe ever imo. It’s amazing how balanced it is and how it puts the power down. I did the M track day at Laguna Seca. It when I discovered how special the M3/M4 really is.

I’m strongly considering getting the xDrive M3 in the next 2 years once prices / supply get figured out a bit.

Interesting, the M Track Days are in parking lots here in Los Angeles and Orange County. Were you on the actual track or the large infield? I've only been on the Laguna Seca track with my F80 M3 CS, and I'm really looking forward to bringing my G82 X-Drive this summer.

EDIT - OOPS, I thought you were talking about Ultimate Driver Events. I haven't done an M-Track day.
