There is a particular purple-wrapped candy in the Quality Street set that is oh so delicious. It was my favorite for years (decades, since I first had it as a child). Twilight purple in this lighting reminded me of that, and the car look delicious too!
If you've not tried Quality Street, buy a tin. It's imported from the UK and can be found on Amazon. If you get the original purple tin too, it'd go great with the car.

Just a thought for next time, bring portable LEd lights. That color needs to stand out I'm well lighted area it's a "night and day"  difference!

I do agree that another outing should include some LED lights for a little bit of experimentation. This was honestly my first time getting out to take night time photos in a few years (having little ones just seems to suck the energy and the late night photo inspiration out of ya!). Just for fun though, you can see in the two photos below just how different it can look even during the day with direct sunlight depending upon how the sun is hitting it.
