Who here is planning on driving their G80s through the winter season?
I'm already running winter tires on my g80 and I will continue to look for excuses to drive it any chance I get all winter long.

I need to pick up the BMW floor liners asap though.

I'll be driving back from PCD... in winter... on summer tires. Soon as I get home I'll be switching out the tires but really hoping I don't run I to any snow on the drive home. This'll be in feb/March most likely.

Had a real good time at the most recent dragon rally over at north carolina. Highly recommend it if anyone wants to join me the next season. They hold one of these every month in the summer.

Just had the excellent folks at Bill Jacobs switch to my OEM matte black square 19" wheels with Michelin Pilot Alpin 5 tires.
This will be my second season in the winter on this combo and as expected has been excellent.
If/when the snow gets really deep I'll use the Cayenne TT w/dedicated snows as I've found this to be damn near unstoppable.
As an aside I was surprised to see that the OEM Michelin Pilot Sport 4S' still have another solid season in them at 16,000 total miles on the car.
If I recall extended life was an attribute of the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S vs the previous Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
From my experience this appears to be true,

This is good to know! Are you running on the BMW 829M 19" wheels or a different set? Curious on how it looks! I have a long way to go on finding a winter set; I am not sure if I turn the black 826 into a all-season/winter set (throw on DWS06s) or go a different route.

I have the matte finish 829, so much easier to keep clean.

Here is the set on my DG M4, 2021.
I used them last winter too.
And to chime in on the PS4 I just took off have about 25k on them and they have maybe a few thousand miles of life left in the rears.

I saw a lime rock grey - Jahre (pretty sure) last night parked in a commercial lot in Westmont IL. It had an Indiana plate & exterior Carbon Fiber package; it looked sweet. Not sure if anyone is here on the forum. Also, same parking lot as a IOMG I have seen before.

Got passed by a spectacular G80 going southbound on LaGrange Road earlier tonight. I think it was Portimao Blue with the 50th anniversary emblems. I won't call-out the whole license plate but it had "M3" at the end. If you're out there, kudos, man, great looking car!

It was such a bittersweet moment because I'm trying to order one in PB and have been waiting for an allocation. Trying to be patient.

Spotted a black g80 turning right off of 91st St onto 83 North in the Willowbrook/Burr Ridge area. I was also in a black g80.

Anyone from on here?

Naperville here. Just took delivery of my Dravit Grey M3. Sucks that it is winter, but on nice days I am getting out if anyone wants to cruise. Need to get the break in service asap so trying to knock out those miles. Let me know if anyone wants to meet up

Also, I saw a red m3 in tinley park yesterday, sounded great too! If you’re in this thread let me know!

Saw it driving and it rekindled my excitement for the car. Perfect timing.

Congrats. I too am in Naperville and may have seen you. Do you by any chance live nearby the rt.59 train station? Anyways, down for a meet up in spring.
