Exactly…the wear on the side is not an issue at all…mine is now 13months and has 15k miles and no wear on the sidebolster at all (surely depends how u get in & out), but as u say…I definitely see some wear on the leather at the lower torso bolsters..

Will do and post here in the next days…it's not a big issue, but there is some wear as expected

Stupid question...I've read, however not sure of the seriousness of the comments. Is it really true you can't take a frozen paint through a TOUCHLESS car wash?
It's true. The car wash will still have wax or silicon in the soap and that will ruin the satin finish. That's why I'm handing washing in 40 degrees during the winter! Got to love the color to own it! Enjoy, the color looks stunning when clean and the sun is shinning.

15%, no trouble seeing outside at night. It actually looks lighter than that, probably due to my orange interior

It seems G83 comes with 95% from the assembly line. Having 30% added to it will get me to around 28% which is the Florida limit. Your 15% does look sweet, though!

So there's no way to drive this car in the winter and protect the paint unless it's fully ppf?

I guess the thing I don't quite understand is, if the car is partially ppf and the rest of the car is ceramic coated. Isn't that a protective coating to prevent the wax or any other additives in a touch less car from getting in the paint? Sorry if it's such a noobish question.

So at 15% you still can visually see someone inside the car? I'm having trouble deciding on the tint. My white charger hellcat had 2% and I loved it because no one can see in my car unless they're looking through the windshield. So much privacy, however with a darker color…I'm afraid it looking too I don't know what the correct political term is, too thuggish.

As a point of comparison, I do not want limo tint, and feel 5% is too dark for me. Not a thuggish thing, just too hard to see out at night, and makes police nervous.

15% is the sweet spot for tint. I am in Florida and have had 15% llumar on my last three cars. My fiance also has it on her car. Technically beyond the state limit, but light enough where no cop is going to bother you about it.

Dark enough to keep sun/heat out, but light enough to see out easily at night. During day, depending on which way you are looking and the amount of sun you can see the outline of someone in my car and general shapes, but no details.

The ceramic coating protects the paint/clear coat. PPF will protect against surface abrasions and chips. If an impact is significant to cause a dent, neither will prevent that. Sometimes PPF will prevent actual paint damage in the event of an impact, but not always.

I like darker tint, but it also gives police a reason to pull you over. Not saying you're doing anything wrong, but there's an invite with that and not to mention it's illegal in most places. Guess it depends on state and whether you have a medical pass to have such dark tint.

This is 15% with oyster interior. Obviously a dark interior will reflect even less light out.

Yeah, I was barely able to see the silhouette of my passenger from the outside. It is just right for me.

Thank you and sure. I think I might be taking delivery in another 4 to 5 weeks as PC has a bit of backlog.
