I attempted to do this last night and while I was able to use the basic coding to set alternatives for Ivory, but I can't find this key G20G21G26G28G80_Lichpacket_code1
Has this been changed since ID8 or Bimmercode update? After clicking through 360A/LIC_LCI_COLOR_LIBRARY_DATA mine is set to unknown with hex values and there is an option for custom. Is this perhaps after the basic coding made it's changes? |

I think I may have been missing that particular entry as i'd used Bimmercode to change the Ivory to red. I ended up just going to custom, which looks to edit the curently active settings and changed 28, 29 and 30 to FE to get my white(ish) foot wells and map lights. I tried FF for each, but the bug where FF doesn't code still appears to be the case

My car is ID8, was exactly the same bits to change Ivory as what was listed.
I think my issue of not seeing G20G21G26G28G80_Lichpacket_code1 key was because I'd used Bimmercode in non-expert mode to set Ivory to red. I just scrolled to the bottom which was custom and changed the bits there. worked fine. |

yep, that's right.
Same bits were changed as in the OP, which changes the values for Ivory in ID8: 18,19,20 - (These three represent the color in the DOORS and DASH) 23,24,25 - (These three represent the color in the FOOTWELL) 28,29,30 - (These three represent the color in the MAP LIGHT) |

MMnut, in the pic you posted, am I seeing aftermarket center console ambient lighting? If so, could you provide a link? Also, are you using iD8's Azure in that area?
Thanks for the insight. Happy new year.

BimmerCode G8X Ambient Lighting Helper
I was bored, so I threw this together last night. I figure it will help people save time and headache (and it can always be updated with the latest info and be the Source of Truth):
Behold, several hours of my labor: The BimmerCode G8X Ambient Lighting Helper. Please give me feedback. Did I miss anything? Is there anything I could tweak to make it better: - does it work okay on your phone screen? I only tested it on my laptop but it should be responsive to small screens as well - add a print or screenshot button? - put a greyed out "0x" in front of the values? - be more explicit in the instructions? Anyway, it was fun to do regardless, but I hope you guys like it. Who knows–maybe we could turn it into more than just the colors eventually. The default colors are obviously the ///M colors. - aremmell |

There are several vendors/prices but here's the link I used:
https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32568...Cquery_from%3A It took about 12 days to come in and I installed mine last week. Fairly easy to install video here: |

I don’t want to sound too noobish, but that is exactly what I am. I bought a license on the bimmercode app. I bought a VEEPEAK OBDCheck BLE but some of the options on main screen, say I cannot make changes with my current OBD. Where do I find interior lighting from the first connection screen? Additionally, if I really can’t access it with this OBD, looks like I wasted 30 bucks, what should I buy instead?

You might also need an adapter for Ethernet-to-whatever port your phone has if you’re using a phone to flash
