Got my allocation today! Been on the list since early May. No details on build week etc yet. vmalho2 hopefully they got more than 1 allocation this month!!!

That's awesome!!!!! Happy for you! I haven't heard anything back so they probably didn't get enough, but I did just send another email to the CA....

I heard back yesterday afternoon and my feeling was correct; I didn't get an allocation. I am now #1 on the list... apparently.... I feel like I have heard this before.

I voiced my frustration to the CA and basically flat out said, there are forum members who are M3/M4 enthusiasts and we are all tracking our spots to the tee and we know approximately when allocations come out, and which member gets called next. I really hope you aren't playing games here and most of us aren't dumb. CA acknowledged my frustration, and it appeared as he understood where I was coming from especially since I have been on the list since June. CA offered me a M4 allocation; I passed.

He did mention that for whatever reason BMW is handing out more M4 allocations compared to M3. It is what it is. I am over it, I guess I will wait another month.

BMW always makes more coupes than sedans, I remember the same for the F8X generation

I'm sorry man. That sucks. For what it's worth once they told me I was #1 on the list, I got the allocation the next month. With as crazy as this process has gotten, it'll probably be a crap shoot who actually gets the car first.

With a production # you should be able to call bmw genius and they should have a build week for you.

I totally get your frustration. I was on 3 different wait lists (including Bill Jacobs) since March 1st and didn't get an allocation till 6 months later at the end of August with Laurel in Westmont. But even then I had to start harassing my CA at the 4 month mark because it just seemed like they were selling allocations out from under me to people willing to pay ADM. Of course they all denied that.

I think if you continue to remind your CA know that you're waiting, that at least puts you on their radar every month.

I also think the Chicago market is just crazy. Really hard to get an M3 allocation here. Hang in there... you've gotten past the brunt or the allocation wait and it should be arriving very soon.

Yup Agreed! Based on the last two conversations I have had with my CA at BJ, I think I am close this time around. I am apparently really close at Orland Park as well. I have a relationship (or at least I thought I did since I bought a car earlier in the year throught them) with Laurel in Westmont, but the Sales Manager wouldn't budge on pricing and it was $5-10K over MSRP. Anyways, we (wtwo3 CysVet & others) should all meet up once we all get the darn thing!

Submitted my order on Nov 16th at Bill Jacobs, they lead me to believe I would get an allocation in December but who knows

Got a call from the CA. No allocations for M3 have come in yet for Bill Jacobs. He said to give it this week and he will call me as soon as he gets one.

Have you tried Motorwerks? I placed my order for a base M3 with an individual color on 9/12. I got an allocation right away and was very pleasantly surprised to take delivery a month and a half later on 10/28. I was expecting Jan or Feb '23 delivery earliest.

I was on motorwerks wairlist for 6 months before canceling with them because I got an allocation at another dealer. So you must have gotten REALLY lucky to get an allocation right away.
