Maybe testing with traction off or with drive set to RWD?

You're talking two gens here. The G82, despite being behind the F82, looks much bigger.

Not "set" to RWD, it is RWD

That's the base model, the M4 comp is an 8 speed AWD, hopefully with switchable RWD mode.

I was wondering since you track so often but also drive your M all year round, do you plane to replace your CS with RWD or AWD G series ?

At launch, base 480hp 6MT RWD and Competition 510hp 8AT RWD only offered. Competition AWD will be released at a later date.

This I doubt, because it would mean the UK would have to wait an additional 6-9 months before seeing the Competition M3/4.

Allegedly that later date is summer of next year but help me understand something... I was told plus I was under the belief that the AWD model will be similar to the F90 M5 which will be switchable from the factory can anyone confirm?
If it doesn't come with a RWD mode it looks like mission performance will be taking my money cause I need that.

Quick FYI, it was noted by an insider in a different thread, the frozen blue car is equip with a roll cage for max attack ring times (you can see it through the window), no doubt they are running 10/10ths lap after lap to push for the best time possible in the press release

OK, thanks. What I understood was that the AWD version would be exactly like the M5 (in that there would be an iDrive setting to direct all the power to the rear wheels). And I'm 90% sure I initially read that all the comp versions would be AWD and auto transmission.
I am now confused by the mention of an M4 Comp RWD with the AWD to follow in MY22. RWD Comp would be my personal choice - but not if I'm carrying around the extra weight and potentially Audi-esque handling/steering. |

The sedan will actually be a nice family car. Went to go look at the new M5 Comp today, it's nice but looks like a plain 5 series to me..
The new m3 fenders have bulge, body to it...it's assuring to me that you can run a nice wide wheel and meaty tires even spacers. Car will have presence! Will have character for sure! So this may be the next car for the family...sorry 5 series I mean m5. |

Nothing else really fits my needs. I will not buy an automatic, so choices are slim, until another brand enters the space. I am not super picky, but it has to be a manual. |
