Wow my order flipped on Monday from 105 to 112 and was told by genius BW28. I called my CA and he said we should finalize any change in options because my order was a "Priority 1" and could go early. Went through and added some options like Drive Recorder, wireless charging, and the esim. He didn't get them entered until late last night when it showed up in my garage. Somehow this morning I'm already 150 with a VIN. I've never seen it move so fast, hope everyone else who has been stuck waiting for 6+ months like me are having the same luck as I am now.

Damn!!! That's what I was afraid of happening - glad I pushed to update my order right away just in case, so far still 112 and BW29, maybe that will get pulled in based on this. Glad to see you're moving fast, you deserve it with all you put up with. maybe they'll fly your car over in a cargo plane instead of on a ship too! LOL

Looks like most MY22 105 allocations are scheduled in the coming weeks. Nice to see that BMW is prioritizing these builds.

Great to hear! I am still 112. Added drive recorder and got my build sheet marked "FINAL". Hope I get a VIN soon.

I asked about "price protection", and my sales manager said he had already checked with New Jersey about it to no avail. Said he would recheck with his rep but I am not optimistic. I am wondering if it is worth contacting BMWNA directly?

My dealer said they "would work with me on any price difference" because I ordered so long ago, but nothing in writing or guaranteed. I guess its better than nothing. At this point after so long, I'm so glad I might actually have the car.

I put in an email bmw genius about a week ago asking this. They finally responded, by phone, saying that price protection is entirely up to the dealer. They recommended I reach out to the manager or general manager to see if anything can be done, but bmw HQ cannot help with pricing.

Deposit down in Aug 21, Allocation Jan 22, 105 status in Feb, Sched for prod in Mar 22, back to 105 in Apr 22, been in 105 since Apr. I'm hopeful to know more in the next 2-3 weeks.

Update here: Production number definitely transfers to '23. Also, just checked and production status is "Production Begins" and have a VIN now! CA told me week 28 but prod date of 7/7/2022.

Your story seems odd. First, it is surprising they would schedule a week 23 build from a February allocation, but perhaps I missed something there. Also, if you were 111 before, that is a '22 allocation, which should be converted to '23 on its own unless somebody canceled the order. With status 047 you have nothing - you're just waiting. Did you add individual color? Maybe Canada is different somehow, but I would be asking my dealer some questions.

ordered 1/6/22, production # back in April but everything got screwed up when i added bucket seats. Fingers crossed.

You can find it using brower dev tools. There is a thread on it, or at least a ton of posts about it.


PS - I'm still 112, though I guess I would be if I'm BW29. Seems you guys going to 150 are all one/two weeks earlier than I am.

Tons of 150s it seems from the old '22 allocations granted. I wonder if we'll hit some sort of inevitable delay in building? I'm scheduled for production 07/06/22.

Got my VIN today after flipping from MY22 to MY 23. When I called genius like 5 days ago he told me I was week 29.
