As long as its 112, my CA said you should be able to. He switched my colors and packages today and I'm still 112, knocking on wood. And that was for build week 28.

Just checked for the first time today. Flipped to 2023, status 112. Texted my CA to add Drive Recorder - he is going to check build week as well when he gets back to dealership.

Great news! But I have, alas, been here before. Three times in fact.
Will be relieved when it hits 150.

My '22 flipped late last week/this weekend to a '23 is already in production with a VIN as of today.

0 interaction with my CA. But, to be fair, we don't communicate much. All of the options from my '22 appeared to have transferred over.

You could ask Genius yourself without having to wait for CA to, it's a quick call

Should be calendar week 29, i.e. week of the 18th. BMW skipped week 1 and started at CW 2 as week 1, at least thats what I read here before when my car supposed to be build

That might be true, but Genius specifically said week of the 11th which matches the normal calendar week. Either way I know not to get my hopes up because I've been in 112 4-5 times already since Feb.

I flipped to 23 on Saturday, build week 28 with my original build. Changed my spec and went back to order received. Called genius and told I’m now build week 31, first week of August… I’m just glad I have a build week now.

It's probably the seats or the carbon exterior. Don't have those on my build and I didn't shift...yet

Update: I'm looking to switch to an individual color, my dealer emailed the reps today to confirm it can be switched. I really didn't want the original color so they reconfigured the production number while we wait for confirmation on the individual color and just in case it didn't work out. Also, added the wireless charging/drive recorder. With the changes submitted thus far it went from 112 to 111 and build week 29 to 30.

Anyone else switch colors yet? If so, what build weeks are you getting pushed to?

I had a production number when I ordered in Feb for a week 23 build. Never happened. My SA just informed me that I got a new production number and car is in status 047. Cant find the 047 in the tracking thread, anybody know what that means? Shouldnt I have kept the same order number? Canada

047 means they have you in the order bank, you don't have a production number. Your dealer isn't being truthful.

Thats what I somewhat thought, the other orders just flipped over without a change in the order number?

Edit: I can see a production number on the screen though, it starts similar to my old but then the last digits are different

The other orders were confirmed already by BMW - most likely status 105, 111, or 112. When you are 047, all it means is that that the dealer took your proposed order and submitted to BMW. At this point, BMW has not confirmed a build for you, so you're most likely waiting for an allocation which could be months to a year, depending how many your dealer gets or how many people are in front of you. At that point BMW confirms your allocation, you will get a production number.

If your dealer told you that you have a production number but at status 047, they are lying to you

Great news! What a joke. I was in 111 with my old order, so now I actually have nothing. Despite him "promising" I will be with the first batch of M3's being build a 23...
