BMW invasion G8X meet, Orlando FL
Wondering how many G8X owners will be attending the event in February? Maybe we will gather for G8X meet either before or after the event.

I’ll likely go if I have my G82, but it’s been in QC for a month, and I’m not sure if February is realistic anymore (doing PCD and that can add a couple weeks).

I understand a huge contingent of M's are coming down from the northeast (NY/NJ/Connecticut area). And they're picking up M's along the way in each state, all the way down to Orlando, of course with some overnight stays along the way.
Having said that, these caravans are often smaller than anticipated with people dropping out at the last minute, especially one this long. The DC/MD/VA BMW club is already coordinating with the Northeast, to join caravan when it comes through. And this kind of a long driving event is right up my alley, so I'll definitely try to make it. It will likely be an epic east coast BMW event. Last edited by KevinGS; 12-09-2021 at 08:29 AM.. |

The website is not the most clear when it comes to the event and what each ticket type requires/offers.
If my wife and I just want to be spectators is there even a category for that? While we have two BMWs in the household, we do not want to compete in anything, it seems that the BMW labeled ticket as part of the ticket is competing in a burnout/exhaust competition which neither of us are interested in. We just like going to car shows and looking at the various cars, neither of our BMWs are anything special when compared to M3s and the like. |

Also, the local BMWCCA chapter has been silent about the event and imho it is something they should be talking about. |

I emailed the organizers and they said that General Admission tickets need to park in a parking lot that is also used as a general parking lot for Deezerland and not near the BMW car show. They encouraged BMW drivers to park in the BMW ticketed area (which is more expensive), but I am still unclear if I have to compete in any competitions (I don't want to compete in anything) as my car is stock and not meant for competitions. It is also unclear if one needs to stay in the BMW lot all day or if one is free to only stay for a few hours if they park in the BMW area, I doubt my wife will want to spend all day at the event. Lastly, when I looked to buy tickets it was asking for the car's Instagram Account, I don't have an Instagram account let alone my car which gave me pause as again my car is stock and absolutely nothing special when compared to the likes of M3/M4s or heavily modified cars. Any insights would be appreciated. |

0% chance I'll have my car in time for this. At this point, I'll be lucky to get it in March. Maybe I'll catch the next one.
