Question 1000M for track and road use

A while back I hit the local track and broke the production car record for a stock vehicle. Destroyed my tires in the process but it was worth it.

Now I've got the speed bug and been thinking into ways of going even faster in my X-drive G82 without compromising too much of its day to day usability. Bigger and grippier contact patch often carry the best results in terms of time gained per dollar spent, but could cause other issues on a street application.

I've been looking at the M performance parts 1000M wheels. They are 285/30 ZR20 at the front and 295/25 ZR21 at the rear.

From the factory, the car has 275/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/30 ZR20 at the rear.

I've been wondering about a few things so I thought I'd ask here for advice.

1, The 1000M's front wheels are the exact same specs as my current factory rear wheels. 285/30 ZR20. If I were to buy the 1000M set, couldn't I just order the rear corners and switch the one's I have already to the front? Would save a lot of money that way.

2. Would the additional 10mm of tire width cause any issues such as fender rubbing or increased tramlining?

3. Does BMW offer their own unique spec OEM tires or do I have to go with generic PS4S or P zeros?

4. I have stock iron rotors. Is it advisable to upgrade the brakes to the next size up?

Other people are going to comment about how much better tire X is, so, we will let them fill in their info.

I own the 1000M wheelset. The "wheelset" comes with Yokohama ADVAN V107 BMW Star tires. As you know, you can also get the wheels without tires. I think the lack of tire options, alone, leave something to be desired when selecting them for track use.

Therefore, I think you should just look at track tire options, for the stock 19/20 setup. I would look at Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 connect 240. And the Pilot Sport Cup 2R. Both of these tires are separately available in BMW Star Spec, to fit the stock size wheels. The Yokomaha ADVAN V107 is a better tire than the PS4S, but, the ADVAN V107 Star only comes in the 20/21 size.
