Antone go from 10mm drop to full drop on M HAS? Interested in hearing if the ride quality changed much.

I went straight to the full drop and like I’ve said in previous comments, the stock comfort setting is pretty much gone. If you want to know how the MPHAS feels in Comfort, ride around in Sport with the stock suspension. The factory comfort setting is actually really nice. But, you get a little sportier feel with the MPHAS.

Thanks. I already have the HAS installed. Trying to see if the ride quality changes much a max drop in the front.

Quick update, my dealer said I should go to a “performance shop” for any adjustments. Seems of considering it was a BMW port installed option.

That’s lame. Defeats the whole purpose.

Btw - I think the ride quality does get worse the lower you go. It’s not just the stiffness - I think there is a perfect balance.

That it does. I have KW HAS. Mine was 14" from hub center to fender edge. Which didnt leave me much travel before I hit the bump stops. It was "jarring". I then raised mine to 14.25" and it made a HUGE difference in ride quality. I went from jarring to smooth just raising it 1/4th of an inch.

I think 14.25" from wheel hub to front fender edge is best for ride quality when lowering.

I was told when I did my break in service any ///M Certified dealer can do it. They weren't sure if it required an alignment check after though

Anybody with a G83 take a shot at installing the M-Performance HAS even though it is only recommended for G80 and G82?

I dont know of, or remember hearing about anyone installing them on a G83. I would probably go to the root thread and start your own thread, to get more attention. Although, with the amount of traffic this thread gets, it may just need a few more people to read your post.

2024 M3 Competition

M Performance Suspension @ 12mm drop front and 7mm drop rear, with 12mm spacers all around.

Installed by my BMW technician son with 15 miles on the odometer… at 1,050 now.

I really like the very flat and responsive handling… and the lower ride height!

Question. Planning to order the MP HAS from getbmwparts and do not know which option to select. I have a 2024 BMW M3 Base and I am having a local performance shop install it.

Do you any of you know where can buy it for cheaper? Thanks!

Baum still has it cheaper. That’s where I got mine. Looks like you save about $120 but shipping is longer by a week or so.

Baum is where I originally ordered mine. I think I got them to my door for like $1,220 shipped. But, looking at the link you just posted, they're €1,318, which is $1,438. Not a savings, anymore.

When I ordered them, they were like €1,120, and the € and the $ were within a few dollars of each other. €1,318 was like $1,340, when I ordered mine.

For those who had them installed at your dealer, what did you pay for the installation? I have one dealer quote for $2k just installation. Obviously haven't pursued, and I'll be calling around some more.

I didn't get mine installed at the dealer, but they originally quoted me $1,300. I'm guessing that was without an alignment, although, the alignment is in the instructions, so, maybe it was in there.

All dealers are different vastly different with pricing, but, they shouldn't be $700 apart.

Do you by chance know if I need the hardware + kit?

Only if you are going to have it installed by a dealer. BMW follows a specific method of installation which calls for removing damn near everything from the wheel wells. The hardware kit consists primarily of torque to yield bolts and nuts. Nice, but not absolutely necessary. This results in a very lengthy and expensive installation.

Any good performance shop can do this faster, and for less money. Many of the members here have done it themselves. It isn't neurosurgery.

Yes. Exactly. I had a shop that does and drives BMW track cars. I had them only replace the torque to yield hardware they removed. The “kit” is likely everything that is required to remove the front and rear complete suspension. Upper, lower control arms, brakes, etc. Check back some pages to see Fugly M3s pics of the full dealer style install, since he has pictures of his getting installed at the port.
