Unless they ask for proof of who installed the HAS kit.

Of course but it's still a bit debatable if everything was correctly installed. Having a good relationship with your dealer could help also.

It is. That's how I feel. Its not all that easy to have a relationship with the dealer, if this is your first BMW, and you only go to the dealer, once a year. I've had my car 20 months, and I've only been in for service 3 times, and one time was for a recall on their dealer installed security system, that I never even paid for.

At full low, what is your measurement from bottom lip of wheel to fender, front and rear? I’m debating on doing this in my garage or paying someone. Want to determine a target height setting.

I did order new Quickjack frames due to the longer wheelbase, so I should be able to manage. Can’t be any different than F80 coilovers with EDC, especially with the tool and video limegrntaln posted.

That settles it. 13mm is the perfect setup, for these cars. I suspected this after seeing another car on 13mm all around, in here. I don't know anyone that sells this size in the US. Probably because I haven't looked around, much.

I’m not sure. I’m out of town on business so I can’t measure. Just go full low. Lol

Quick question. If you get port installed MPHAS, then after a few hundred miles of “settling” after taking delivery, you want to make front & rear adjustments, what kind of pricing are you looking at?

- assume I’m not a “DIY” person so that’s off the table.

- assume dealer not an option since it was installed at “factory recommended” at port and they likely won’t go outside that threshold.

Thx.

It’s going to vary greatly by shop. There is a lot of tension on the rear divorced spring set and the inner lower control arm bolt, needs to be removed for the spring tension to be released. It shouldn’t cost you more than an hour of labor.

Since the rear lower control arms are being disconnected, you’d need an alignment.

My dealer marked the perches with a special paint on the threads. I am assuming to make sure they know if someone changed the OEM specs on their installation.
My regular BMW mech (friend) could do it, but he told me to have the dealer install it, that way I don't run on possible warranty denial.

I get why they do that to show movement of the adjuster but the whole reason the MPHAS design exists is so the height can be adjusted... I don't see how they could deny warranty unless someone really fubar'd the adjustment.

Update: I started off with 10mm in the front & back, but then I ended up going back to my shop and I had them adjust the front by dropping to another 10mm. Now it looks pretty good. Also went to BMW to get an alignment done, it drives so smooth that I can't even tell it's sitting the M Perf OEM springs. Highly recommend going all the way down, getting an alignment after it settles. Photos don't do justice, in person, I feel like its got a good stance and it's sitting on 12MM spacers all around, no rubbing.

Currently looking into getting HAS kit for my m4, looking for the best deal in the UK. does Baum deliver to the UK? Finding it hard to understand as its all in German.

Also any photos with HAS kit and no spacers? Whats everyones verdict on this.
