Hello All,

After a quick 20k miles I decided I was sick of the brake dust and noise provided by the stock brake pads. The performance was great but the dust and noise were too much. Shocker, right? There are a few good options out there but I went with the SP1 F/R set by PSI hoping performance would match stock while addressing my issues above.

Details are here:
https://precision-sport.com/collecti...-bmws-m2-m3-m4

My G80 is a 4 season daily driver than runs 15-18k miles a year. I'd approximate 50/50 city/highway use. I don't clean my car often, especially in the winter, so the stock brake dust looked really bad all the time.

Performance: These pads perform as well as stock under all street conditions. I could say they are better, and they probably are, but that is hard to quantify with street use. I've run EBC Red, Hawk Performance Ceramic and more aggressive pads over the years and none offered better performance than stock BMW M pads in all conditions for day to day use. The more aggressive pads were much worse under many street conditions. I believe my use case as "fast road" driver matches most G8X owners and the SP1 is perfect. The initial bite is a tad less aggressive than stock but adjusting technique takes about 15 seconds. WIN
Noise: absolutely no noise under any conditions. WIN
Dust: The wheels look crispy for a long time. It's hard to say how much better but I'll go with 50x. An extreme case is pictured below. (in harsh light) WIN!

12/13/23 - 20,598 miles - brake pads installed
2/27/24 - 22,953 miles - picture taken. The car was not washed or wiped down in 2,355 miles. Sure, they look a little crusty but you all know what stock pads do to the front wheels in a few hundred miles...

All in all, these pads deliver exactly what I need. I don't plan to run the car on a circuit so PSI or another user can address that. I believe the R44 boys ran these pads on their G81 cross USA adventure.

Thanks for the feedback/review on these pads.

I'm getting to my wits' end on the brake dust and was considering these among a few others when the time comes.
