Any idea what you're going to do to address the brakes on the car?

Would absolutely love you to post a picture of the throws with the CAE shifter. Nice build!

Exciting, and some nice quality components going on the car!

Can't wait to see some G8x on the local tracks...

Given your attention to detail and obvious track focus, I am curious . . .

Did you weigh vehicle from factory and since modification? I'm particularly interested in weight difference between rear seats and roll bar.

I have zero idea how much the rear seats weigh, and taking a wild guess at 100-200lbs? Guessing the roll bar might weigh 50lbs??

Since I'm not a tracker, I'm curious what makes someone who is a tracker and can afford to buy a new car dedicated to the track decide on G82 over, say, a Porsche chassis? Given money doesn't appear to be a factor, there must be an aspect to the BMW chassis you prefer over the truer/smaller sport car chassis?

Looking forward to hearing about your experiences on the track. . . did you track a stock G82 to gain a perspective pertaining to modifications you are making?

Nice build, I've always wondered, will a single seat set up upset the balance of the car?

With coilovers, you can corner balance the car. Will be a non-issue.

Amazing build OP !!!

That wing is wider than the car! You gonna have a hell of downforce!
Ballsy move, great job.
In 10 years we will not have cars like this, enjoy it till it last.

You're right, it's the perfect timing to find good cars to keep forever.

Manual car are so nice to drive, so rare to find, except bmw and porsche, it's almost impossible to get 3 pedals in a sport car

To the OP, looks like you have a good start point planned out for the build! Makes me happy to see that it's a three pedal car too. Appreciate the bravery of tearing out the interior of a brand new, expensive car to half cage it.

I am also interested in this question. Without judging your choice, of course, it is impossible not to think that for that kind of money, you could have bought a 997.2 GT3, or a prepared corvette C7 Z06, or a used Radical, or other cars that would be more powerfull and/or track oriented.

Anyway, congratulation for your purchase and for sharing it with us!

I love it when people spend other people's money for them. HE'S DOING IT BECAUSE HE WANTED TO. Unless you are helping him finance the project, I don't think he could care less about your questioning.

It's pretty easy to explain. I've only driven BMW since I was 18 years old and my job has been all about BMW for 15 years. So I can't drive another brand for that reason alone, although a GT3 would excite me, I can't drive one for political reasons.
