This is the thing:
G8x M3/M4 with 500 HP and 3800 lb has almost the same power to weight ratio of F13 M6 with 560 HP and 4250 lb!
The difference here is that people who bought F13 M6 are (in average) 10-20 years older than those are buying G80x ...
At this power to weight ratio , these cars are extremely dangerous for people dont have skill and maturity of driving her!!!

True but there is hardly any difference between the pwr/weight ratio between the F8* comps and the G8* comps all around 275-285/tonne (PS)

M3/4 getting binned via youthful exuberance is nothing new.

I stay true to Jeremy Clarkson's "M3 drivers have no friends" quote; I avoid car meets like the plague and I don't want to be associated with the majority of BMW owners because it's usually the mpireboyz, gunshot burble type of guys at these meets.

People at track days are usually very nice to interact with, though.

that seems to be more of the muscle car crowd at those tho

mhm they're part of the reason as to why NYC has seen a big uptick in those 25 mph cams.

The amount of idiots on the roads here in NYC really blows my mind. It was bad pre pandemic but I would say its doubled or tripled within the last year. Everyone and their mother has a car now because they don't want to take mass transit but nobody feels like the rules/laws of driving applies to them anymore.

Look we all exceed the speed limit sometimes but these new age idiots straight up drive like its free for all. Lines on the ground doesn't mean anything, red lights doesn't mean anything, merging etiquette doesn't exist, cutting people off in bump to bumper traffic with their stupid ghetto hoodie over their head is a common theme. This is my day to day commute and it flat out pisses me off.

I can't say its limited to only BMW drivers but I do say they are usually the worst. Especially as old models are becoming more and more affordable. Low IQ, too much Forza gaming mixed with 4-500HP car is a bad combo and unfortunately NYC has tons of those

Yes, they race on the expressways throughout the boroughs of New York. Having seen them first hand numerous times, they are a menace to the public roads. Just encountered the type two weeks ago.
I am all for fast cars but own and drive them safely and with respect for other people. Take the speed to the racetracks. It's that simple.
