The point is that higher end PCars (S and above) just have a different DNA, pedigree and a higher level of refinement, then say an M4. It all depends on what your goals are. I've always loved ///M cars and we plan to add one to our family this year, just not sure now which model, but it needs to be both raw and practical , year-round daily driver for NJ weather. M5 comp is too big for us, M8 comp is amazing, just overpriced, too big, too heavy. Regarding your brothers 991.2 C4, of course an M4 competition would be faster in a straight line than your brothers Pcar. If his is a 991 2 C4, even though a great car, its more of a base 911 T with an extra couple hundred lbs for AWD. At 370 hp and maybe 330 ft lb torque, probably more comparable to a M240ix. Again, its all what your goals are. We all just have to be patient and play the waiting game to see how this this G8x thing plays out. There is always the X4M/ X3M route and we'll keep the 911 4S (mine has PDK, Sport Chrono, rear steering, 450 hp). Last edited by eman4517; 06-05-2020 at 03:21 PM.. |

BMW managed to combine fugly and flatulence into a single hideous package, congratulations!
For the DIYers, can you let us know if it's easier to do plugs by dropping the grills or the old fashioned way by opening the hood? |

but claiming they're going with Porsche now and actually doing it are 2 entirely different things. I'm sure many of us will and have the means to make the Pcar change (if the G8x is truely that polarizing), however, others, judging maybe not so much. We should all mark this date and come back next year for a "whats in my garage" poll. Many of us here might have G8x or X3/X4M, some will hold on to their classic, gorgeous F8x's, some will go to Porsche. As for these others, my guess is a G60x...Infiniti (or Civic R)

Showed my wife and she says in a sad voice: "that's a shame........ I don't like it" and walked away. 🤣
A shame indeed.
