Absolutely horrendous. The grill is absurd and the hood and front end, other than the absurd grill, look like it's trying to be a mustang

Also, the lack of the hood bump will be missed

I actually think it looks sharp. I understand why people here are upset, it's a departure from BMW "traditional" design but times are changing everybody needs to move on. The side skirts and front splitter remind me of an Aston, looks sleek, and if we can swap those parts to carbon fiber would be awesome. Cant wait to get my hands on the M3.

this ×10,000. took me a lot of years to work up to it (this one was $140k US not including full xPel or tire & wheel warranties) and I get no more pleasure or thrill factor then my $50k m235i xdrive. Would have gotten an M4 but needs to be a daily suitable for New Jersey winters. And will probably get flamed, but No I don't track my cars, however I do drive them like they were made to be driven. From what I'm hearing from M340 reviews and owners, G80/G82 should perform amazingly, just have to get accustomed to the ugly face if at all possible(or wait until LCI)

Really wanted to like this car but I just dont. I'll reserve final judgement to when I see one in the metal but right now its looking like an M4 CS or an Evora for me next.

Gorgeous car and color. A co-worker has the gray one. My e92 (with Dinan) was Lemans blue and my RS5 was Sepang blue.

Right. I'd consider going to them, but they get really expensive really fast. More expensive than my wallet can handle.

Actually they did they just dint listen to the customers who still think the E30 and E36 or E46 or any other insert random BMW model code before G series, Bimmers are the best looking ones.

They moved in another direction if they lose about 100-150 customers (going with the amount of whine i have seen on this forums in regarding to how many people complained) sens those who like the change don't bother to comment but if they gain 300+400 new customers because of the change it is still a win win for them but time will tell when the sale numbers comes in.

So yes they did listened they moved for a change it just wasn't the change that bimmerposts most fanatic members complaining about the grill wanted them to go.

I still cant believe admins haven't shut down the discussion about the grills especially when so many complain posts or rather say whine posts are from the same forum members constantly.

Let me "enlighten" you about the comments.

"Oh noes BMW lost their way"
"Oh noes its a pig nose"
"Oh noes what is BMW doing"
"Well the sale numbers will drop"
"OH NO HOFMEISTER KINK has been changed"

At least people haven't exploded yet about the M-Mirrors being changed can't wait for that s**t show to start.

IF their sales numbers plummets so hard because this car will be such a disaster then i am sure BMW will change their "lost ways" until that these comments are getting older then the age of queen Elisabeth the second, and she is damn old.

Yes, I'm aware of the comments on the grilles. This is a discussion forum and people are passionate about the brand that they love, so they are going to express their displeasure when they see the company do something that makes no sense to them as the consumer. I don't mind the reverse kink and mirrors as much, but they are things that the brand and M's have been known for for a long time so it's frustrating to see them go. We'll see how the sales numbers pan out.

+1. Agreed. There is just so much change going on in the world that some people are probably still adjusting and recalibrating to those changes and another new norm. These feelings will probably pass and eventually and we'll slowly get reacclimated to the new norm and many driving our new G8x's with a big grin on our faces.. (& some not).

Also, to your point, some have serious concerns, while others are just jumping on the whining bandwagon. This too shall pass like a bad case of gas. Some of us just need to talk it out.

Saw this and liked it;

"At its core, resistance to change is a label we apply to people who seem unwilling to accept a change. But for the most part, it isn't the change itself that people resist. People resist change because they believe they will lose something of value or fear they will not be able to adapt to the new ways".

Adapt or move to another brand. Change is inevitable to stay relevant. If you think the grille bothers you, electfication of M models in the next several years will have many seeking counseling

Unless this car can fly, it will sell like the typical 6 Series of the past; a niche product, for people who don't know any better but I'm certain it won't do the numbers the F80/82 was pulling..

The demographic who purchases an M4, likes to flaunt their automobile and the G82 just doesn't have that appeal (obviously). So consumer will look elsewhere, with their 70 - 85k budget, IMO.

I can understand and appreciate all the negative reactions, but I like it a lot. It has grown on me even more in the past 24 hours. I think it's also because I've focused more on that IG render LOL. And we all know performance wise it'll be a beast.

Well, they did add those canards with the M-performance parts so that might help it get off the ground some.

I agree on the sales and budget. The final release pics of the 440 do look better than I was thinking. Not great, but better and perhaps tolerable. The M4 so far looks much worse, but I will hold out final opinion until I see them live because some things (like the M4 CS wheels) do look much better in person. 70-80k is my rough budget and I have already started shopping it around. Can't do Porsche prices, but the new C63 AMG is a contender depending how it looks when it come out later this year.

Why the hell didn't the photographer grab more pics than just this one ugly pic of the front? How about the sides and back? Interior? Damn it!

It's a game to wad up a bunch of panties. Sit back and enjoy watching all these grown men cry like someone pulled the head off of their GI Joe and replaced it Pee Wee Herman's. 😜
