Which piggyback is generally considered the best for plug and play as well as power for a stock car running pump fuel?

I know BMS will review logs. Don’t think they’ll custom tune but can’t hurt to ask. I’ve also heard of a facebook group that helps provide custom tunes for our platform.

I would say JB4, but if you want plug and play, set it, forget it, and more affordable - RaceChip is working for me. But if your aspirations are higher, get JB4 or save for flash

I’m pretty set on RaceChip at this point. Seems easier to install and makes more roughly the same power as an out-of-the box JB4. I won’t be running ethanol or other mods either

JB4 only has two more connections on each wastegate, pretty darn simple install for those. I suppose routing the ODB2 cable so you can get the CANBUS data is another step, but also pretty darn simple.

Dollars to donuts, you'll buy race chip, and then upgrade. Look for racechip used in the f/s section. No reason to pay full price for that tune.

RaceChip power and smoothness is nowhere near the same as JB4 and the installation really isn't much easier. Both have to attach to that annoying lower boost sensor which takes most of the install time for each.

If you want a more limited tuning approach then just skip the JB4 EWG and OBDII cables. Did you read the frequently asked questions they've posted to see what the technical differences are? https://burgertuning.com/pages/faq

Get whatever is cheaper then, but the jb4 allows you to log/display and look at check engine lights while the racechip doesn't. Like forza1976 said, look in the f/s section.

Thank you for sharing.

I'm not a big fan of comparing dyno results with piggybacks. Piggybacks make power by simply adding boost, so if you want more power, you can add more boost regardless of the brand of the piggy.

piggybacks make power by increasing boost, as long as its doing that, then its a good piggyback i guess.

Its just very overpriced for what it does.

I don't have any affiliation or sell any tunes so here is my 2. cents having played with many piggy backs.

Some do just simply just add boost on top of the stock target boost (Jb+). While others add boost by gear (dahler and a few others) then you have more advanced systems like the jb4 which can play with the fuel rail pressure, monitor ignition and afr with obd2 data, provide fail safes, auto tuning based on those parameters and allows custom maps if you wish. The jb4 is simply the most advanced piggy back on the market but also not the simplest to install based on having more connections.

Other piggy backs < Jb4 < FLASH TUNE

I always run a jb4 on my cars until I get the opportunity to flash them.

Relatively speaking RC or JB4 is really good price per HP. People spend crazy amounts on carbon fiber intakes that barely give u any HP and hard to actually show off….
I think JB4 is consensus on this forum.

I was just busting those guys chops over the fact that there are four JB4's available and no RCs...

Seriously - have looked at this over and again. If you want to set it and forget it - RC is fine. If you want to tune - JB4 is best. I cannot understand the higher cost Dahler..
