BM3 S58 maps & options (need pix)?
Can someone with an S58 license post screenshots of the OTS Maps list, and also of the Map Config screen (any OTS map) so I can see the list of options/selections?
My S55 license had lots of choices, like for HPFP and injector size etc., so I’d like to see all the options for S58. If you could list each of the option’s drop-down choices that would really help.

Thanks for the pix!!! Are there any “free” OTS maps like CS and GTS were for S55?

Yes you get the CS map for free also when you get the BM3 you get to pick one map pack that's included in your purchase. I chose the stage 2 map pack.

Thanks again! On the S55 we had CS and GTS to pick for free, but I guess that since the S58 CSL is more powah than the S55 GTS it’s plenty good enough. I like the free OTS for the “linear throttle” keeping daily driving easy, and running a separate custom kill tune for my dragstrip needs.

there is also only 1 flex map which applies to all the slots so if you pay for flex fuel tuning it will automatically apply to all of them. bootmod3 lets any user play around in the map editor if you want get a better understanding, you can import your stock tune, convert it to customrom and see all of how it works behind the scenes if you're interested. |

You can run both with or without downpipes. I asked Halim. Just don’t up your burbles if you have stock cats or you can cook them.

Then why do they say it’s required in their map?

Because he adjusted the settings to take advantage of the catless DPs. I run both the CSL and the Stg2 E50 on my stock cats and no probs at all.

What do you expect will happen? Its simply running a bit more boost and timing, its not like that stock downpipe can't take that.

You realize that exhaust flow through wastegate timing changes is how all that works, right? Higher flow downpipes are usually required for any Stage 2 tunes because exhaust flow characteristics need to be taken into account and additional exhaust temp raises is also another side factor to contend with, but mostly it’s back pressure vs wastegate duty cycles that play a big roll on all that.
