On the rpm gauge in the dash by holding the cruise down button on the steering wheel, or in the bm3 app.

More importantly though, a bm3 flex fuel customrom tune is automatically adapting to the current ethanol content.

How exactly do the tuned maps work? is it an infinitely adjustable table based on ethanol %, so everything from pure 91 to ~e50?

Or are there a bunch of if/then statements based on certain ethanol targets?

I asked protuning support this question, the multi map will auto tune from 0-85% or more percent of ethanol. But power is capped at e50 levels

DHL just dropped mines off! Talk about quick shipping! I’ll get it installed and post a quick video tonight.

They released an installation video on their official Youtube channel a little over a month ago. Can we add it to the first post?

A bit confusing at some parts. I wish they had written instructions but overall not bad at all and much better product than the under hood version. I’ve done Fuel pump, injectors and flex fuel kits and much more on other cars. This was the least complex from all the cars I’ve done

When you de-pin that one wire where you put the BM3 wire for the power do you just leave the original wire hanging?

There’s two red wires off the BM3 harness Male and Female. One bm3 Male to connect to the OEM one you depinned (female) and the bm3 red Female to put in place of the OEM dipinned wire.

i am so bad with connectors. in the video they are just like easily sliding those BDC unit connectors out, not happening for me and CON3 doesn't even look accessible like it shows, there is a plastic cover in front of it. Will have to finish this tomorrow

Lol yeah it’s a complete pain in the butt. You can unlatch the plastic cover with a flat head screw driver. Tip: For Com 3, look at the label above the connectors from left to right and color match the connector to the label at the top. I almost unplugged the connector that was left of Com 3

Just to double check, run a datalog with the ethanol % check marked. I'm just guessing but it could be a wiring issue where one part of the car sees the ethanol and the other does not. When I installed my Visconti FF kit, he had the Zeitronix box programmed for ECUTek. My in car gauge read the correct ethanol % but my OTS FF map didn't feel any faster with an ethanol mix in. Ran a datalog and I wasn't receiving a reading for ethanol in the log.

Also, you're running the Flex Fuel OTS map with the e55?

Waiting to hear feedback before purchasing. Though I've been itching for this for a while.

Keep us posted on dragy data and reach out to BM3 support to see what they say… If the car is running without any drivability issues then it must be accounting for the new fuel mix

Just finish the install. The video leaves out some details and yes the connectors are a huge PITA but I used a small flat head from eye glass repair kit to pop them out. There’s little tabs on the side of the connectors that you got to push in to let the connectors slide out. Also for the com 3 connectors mines was blue not green in the video. Maybe because I have an US m4 and not a Canadian M3 🤷🏾*♂️

But here’s a video of it working from my iphone

So are you just running the BM3 OTS Multimap? And what stage are you running? It would be great to hear your thoughts
