dAHLer Exhaust Flap/Valve Controller
They boys first time on this forum and was wondering if anyone can help me out.
I am looking to purchase the dAHLer Exhaust Flap/Valve Controller and was wondering if the valves have to be opened each time the car is turned on or do the vales stay open if they are open when turning the vehicle off. |

No. There are several options on the remote. I’ve attached the instructions.

You’ll love it. A neat tip I learned from this forum; you can program the garage buttons on your rear view mirror to sync with the dAHLer remote and have the on/off function there instead of having to use the remote.

How easy is this to install and is there any way to do it and have the controller mounted in the trunk instead of underneath the car? Really want one but I am not technically minded and wouldn't be confident trying to secure it under the car.

From all the videos I watched, people install it themselves by putting the module into a plastic piece with the provided 3m tape and have had no issues at all.

I watched a video on this but honestly I would leave the valve opens all the time. My wife has a pretty loud suv and the sounds don't really bother my neighbors.

The controller itself is away from the weather if you put it in the cubby you see people put it in in the videos. The controller is just held on in there with 3M Velcro strips. I drove my car all winter with our lovely Canadian winters and I had no problems at all. I checked last week and the controllers hasn't moved at all. |

I thought for sure I'd leave the valves open all the time. I setup the mirror buttons 2 and 3 to open the valves and close them. In the end they're open 95% of the time. I only close it when we're on the highway for a longer than 30 minutes because when they close it's very quiet and peaceful. My 8 year old daughter thinks it's amazing that it's loud and then silent like a "fancy car". She's hilarious.
