If it's the Instagram Video you're talking about, he never specified any combinations in that one. Only there will be manual and AT, and there will be RWD and AWD.

I don't think any market would have XDrive and a manual.

That would have set M apart, IMO.
Just like Toyota did not think the TRD Pro models would be popular and Porsche thought a 991.1 'PDK only' GT3 was a good idea, BMW is missing the mark on these larger Mcars not being the enthusiasts ultimate all-rounders with the absence of a 6MT/Touring along with the absence of an Xdrive/6MT variant. |

Hey everyone-
Think this is my first post ever after lurking on bimmerpost/e90post for a decade or so. Anyway, what’s everyone think, <5% chance? 0%? Anyone else interested in this combo? I understand this is somewhat of a niche package as most with manuals want RWD, but I really want a daily that can rip up to the slopes in the winter. Only owned manuals for 20+ years and figure this car is my last shot to keep it rolling for another 10. I’d lock one down with any two of the following three, although realize it’s highly unlikely I check two of these boxes: touring/6MT/xDrive. Fully aware of what has already been announced so no need for the “awd is only being offered on comps, which are only coming with the ZF 8 speed auto.” |

Zero.
The base G8x M3/M4 and upcoming G87 M2 have been designed around a common RWD 6MT drivetrain in order to make the business case for one last generation of manual transmission equipped high performance BMWs. |
