You cannot dictate what/how people feel. There are many that absolutely love the front end of the G8X. I've grown to appreciate what it is and how it stands out in person. I've owned mine since February and have yet to hear a single negative thing in person. I don't think it's perfect, and think that this new design would be great. However, if it costs $10k then I'm not dumping my OEM bumper + modified Vorsteiner grille for it. This was the point of my post, explained in as clear of a syntax as I'm capable of doing.

I am all for more options, but I like the OEM front and think most who have the car have move passed the grills. I am sure the cost of this and other body kit/bumper replacements will be out of reach and doesn't look that much different but to each their own.

I love it. Looks menacing.
Too bad I've already spent around $10k on MP and other exterior parts. Assume this is an entire kit and requires a new grill as well, correct? Are parts sold separately? Are the air intakes functional to provide more induction and better cooling for the front brakes/tires? So many questions. Subscribed for more deets on pricing and availability.

I like it, but it all depends on pricing. I doubt many would want to drop too much money on it. Imo after a long time I think the current front grille is fine.

I think that looks fantastic but there is one thing I would like.
I want the front end just like it is but I want the bottom part out. I don’t want the grill on the lower half. I think it would be flaming hot if it just didn’t extend the grill past the halfway. Just let that be open space, mesh or whatever even some more carbon bits. I don’t mind the g80 anymore, heck I even like it, but I do think it would be improved by just not extending the grill all the way to the bottom. After more thinking though, I do not think this particular aftermarket is going to do well. The g80 does not need a more aggressive front end and I don’t think many people think it does. It looks fine, and I don’t hate it (this aftermarket part)… but I would avoid it based on cost and that it makes the car even more aggressive which is not what I am looking for. Then again, as stated, my ideal is the e46. Which is pretty understated. I adore that front end. The proportions are perfect. So tight, just right. Anyway, I hope these guys sell a ton. There’s nothing bad about options! Last edited by DO444; 10-26-2022 at 12:28 AM.. |
