Any evidence that aftermarket strut brace kits improve the car?

There are a couple of good aftermarket options now but is there anything that shows or even anecdotal statements from customers that these improve the handling of the car?

OEM is plenty strong so those are purely for aesthetic reasons. Having said that, I have still 'upgraded' strut bars in the past lol.

Here is a well written guide on how to stiffen your car. Our cars are much stiffer than a NA/NB Miata but I think the points still apply.
